I've got some ARP ones coming, they hold the caps with the bearings to the block supporting the crank.
Have a look through the pics in james.l's RR as there are some good pics of his engine build

update

went to badger 5 this weekend to set up my mbc and turn my boost levels down. last week i made a fantastic result on bills dyno 285bhp but my car was running silly amounts of boost, was spiking at 1.9 - 2bar just over 3000rpm. not good for the rods. so i took bills advice and we fitted a mbc.
we have turned the boost right down, infact i think its very low for a stage 2 map, 1.4 bar (20 psi). but now the car holds this boost much better than it did before.
i made around 280 bhp but with 0.6 bar of pressure less. to be honest i think the car is faster and more consistant than it was before, the mbc is keeping things cooler and making my engine safer. so its a around good result. im happy, bills happy and my car seems happy.
id also like to add that bill provided a great service and i left a very happy customer :)
few pics of the mbc fitted

remember guys i can turn up the mbc to release the extra horses but im not going to take the risk :p
next on the list is
water meth kit
downpipe to stop the EGT's getting too hot
uprated rods

hi mate just a quick one what are these like to fit? how do you set the vacuum pipes up? thanks buddy btw love the car man, engine bay is a work of art. :)

small update

hello all. just a quick update, not much progress but a few bits bought :)

here is my new milltek exhaust fitted, much better that the old one. sounds perfect too.

here is a preview as to what my engine is going to look like (more oem)

porsche water coolant and oil caps, classy

i picked up these 15mm hub centric wheel spacers for £16, bargin

some nice detailing products to give the car some much needed tlc

new turbosmart hybrid valve, dont have much hope for it but its worth a try

my IE timing belt kit has arrived but left it at my parents house so cant get any pics yet, very nice for what it is.

i have also upgraded my exhaust valves i ordered. i now have supertech inconel valves on the way, as recommended by bill at b5.

last but not least, im swapping my wheels back for standard lcr alloys, 2 reasons, i have a soft spot for them and im liking the sleeper look.

thanks

evening all. just thought i would share my latest engine rebuild parts that have turned up.

IE timing belt kit

ARP Head bolts

Oil and water pump from robdons car, only 3k old

i also tried out my latest poorboys cleaning products and thought i would show off a few reflection shots

my con rods are currently being rifle drilled, that was a total nightmare trying to find a company to do it.

supertech inconel exhaust valves should be with me this week from the states :)

all thats left to buy now is piston rings and gaskets.

hello all, on friday this little goodie arrived :)

i love this liquid gauge, been so handy already. should have bought one ages ago.
i did 2 power runs. temps were -4 outside. 295bhp and 290ftlb :) i know its not 100% accurate but even so pretty impressive on 1.4 bar and calculations are made on airflow ect.

i also ordered a forge 008 dv. i only really bought it just to see if it is any different to the 007 in terms of performance.

also my supertech inconel should be here this week, i hope anyway :)
thanks
