Hi! I've been looking here for some inspiration when starting to modify my shitbox so why not show you what I made in the latest 2 years of owning this garbage.

Current modifications

Engine:
Yes xD
1.9 TDI ATD (101hp)
full straight pipe (stock diameter, makes 116dB)

Interior/Car Audio:
Custom door trim material (old one fell apart)
Chinese shift knob with same material as door trims (I just threaded tube under it with M12x1.5)
Few trims inside painted black
Alpine SWT-12S4 + Kenwood PS-300T

Exterior:
full respray (RAL9005)
TaTechnix coilovers (no rear regulation, front max bottom without lock nut + bumpstops cutted 2/3 length)
DZ1 Exklusiv 16x9 ET30 on 195/45 (+5mm front spacer because rim was hitting the strut, arches not rolled or flared, bone stock)
facelift bumpers (car itself is from 2002)
front bumper splitter from Aliexpress
Cupra/FR honeycomb grill kidneys
grill painted gloss black (working on custom honeycomb one)
windshield sunstrip
sideskirts from Seat Leon mk1
spoiler extension from Aliexpress
rear wiper delete
CUSTOM FULL CLEAR taillights made from structural plexiglass (correct me if I'm wrong but propably second mk4 full clears in the world)
custom rear "diffusor" made from ABS panel
dynamic LED side blinkers from Aliexpress
resprayed brake calipers
LED license plate lights
5% window tint
underglow kit from Aliexpress

Few recent pics (Front is still bent after collision I had some time ago, gonna fix it when spring comes)

I did ALL the things by myself (even painting it all over). This car didn't see a mechanic for the latest decade.
This is my first car, still using it as daily. I've been driving it to school when I got the driving license.
Yes - It's the biggest dumpster u propably seen. I think it's a lil different than all the other mk4 u see on the web tho.

I want to thank @L5FLD and @milburnj for sharing their builds on this forum. Helped me a lot :)

Open to criticism. Remember it's 1000£ car.

No criticism think it looks great even better as you have done all the work yourself and its your first motor.

The important part when customizing cars it's do you like it, if you do and others don't that's there problem.

Keep up the good work

Looks awesome. You didnt overdo it, which is easy to do. Im too old to ride with hard coilovers hahaha

What are your further plans? Or are you saving up for a next project?

I'm gonna add few small things and focus on looking for different one. I like this car a lot but it's so damn anti-low... I can't drive some areas nearby and scrape a lot with front rack on smallest curbs and body of car is still like 8-10cm above the ground. Some of my friends have -3cm springs and their cars look almost more lowered than mine sitting pretty much on the end of struts. So yeah I don't recommend 6L for stance, stick to making them TDI 6Ls rollinn coal rocket machines

Fitment so tight I couldn't mount front rims after installing new brake rotors and pads XD
U think I just sanded my outer brake pads so calipers went further in? What kind of man do you take me for?
Angle grinder goes BRRRRRR

Why not go with 5mm spacers?
I already have 5mm spacers cuz rim hitting strut (read first post) can't go any further or wheels will poke af. Again - what kind of man u take me for? Fixed 4 free, poke didn't change, better fitment with caliper, new brakes - for me it's progress. 😂
