I would guess thermal expansion, ally is only soft and if running high temps over time it could wear it.
I run my relocation kit and have no markings on my piston at all

Phil, I noticed you've ordered an LCR oil baffle, what obvious differences are there between that and the normal LC one? Tried googling it and found images for the LC one, the LCR search brought up your posts on here lol :)

From what i can tell the main differences are that the LCR one is (A) plastic and (B) directs all the returning oil from the engine directly to the oil pick up pipe, the oil coming from the turbo comes out at the back of the sump. The main reason i got it it because it came from the Bam engine which by all acounts is the latest and most developed (Improved) version of the 06A block.

Have you installed the 10an Valve Cover Breather Adapte from IE Eningeering?

How did you get old one out of the rocker cover, I tried other day with pilers and heatgun and couldn't get it out.

Yes i just gripped it with a pair of pliers and gently tapped the plyers and it came out, i lightly greased the ally insert and it went it, had problems untill i added a bit of lube.

Well some news at last, some of my order from INA has arrived although it was missing my rods and rings so the bottom end will have to wait for the moment but so will the bottom end balancing which is realy frustrating as everthing else is there. Here is a pic of the goodies to arrive.

At least the head can be done now and the R32 throttle body flange can be welded to the inlat mani. We are getting there so hopfully i should have the rest of the order in a couple of weeks.

Your not wrong Willie, its not all Issams fault though its not helped that me and Tim (Ronin225) put our orders together and went through DannyLad and not straight to Sam,(which is what i will do next time) this resulted in massive confusion on INA's side but its all sorted now and Sam did all he could to sort it out, which is what took the time but he came good in the end.

Still waiting for my rods and rings but managed to fit this this evening, i just needed to trim the tip down a bit, well a lot :) i had to make use of my emergency blue 25mm hose until the black stuff arrives (tomorrow hopefully) really happy with the fit its nice and tight with no movement at all.

First test fit, and all looks good.

Hopefully flow abit more not but its really for the new engine, but couldn't wait to fit it.

Thanks to Tim (Ronin225) for giving me the idea to try it. ;)
