Looks nice mate. I'm not a fan of gloss black wheels and now exactly what you mean about looking shinyer than the tyres.

How were the F1s on the track?

Just ran outside and looked at my front bumper, there are plastic inserts behind each grill. Try Etka, I did have a look for you but I think google chrome isn't in the mood tonight.

Meant to ask, how clean is the Nurburgring? One thing that puts me off is tailing a car and having the front end sprayed by stones and chipping it.

It is basically a race track although more traffic than on other race tracks not like the roads
and to be honest you wont be trailing many cars there are loads of Porsches and Beemers most who seem to know the track well so they soon vanish lol

Yea. I watched a video guide to visiting the ring, and something that really sunk in was when the presenter said to think of the nurburgring more of a fast road than a track

Mashburn Quick Q your yellow Vacuum hoses you used. What diameter are they?? ones above boost pipe that go under engine cover on rh side. Is it same size that could be use for n249 bypass

They are all the same size.....4mm i think.

I've not done the bypass so couldn't tell you, sorry!

There are a few threads on here somewhere discussing what size hoses to use.

At the same time as fitting the poly bushes, i fitted a 3" cold air feed to the airbox.

The feed runs from the airbox, down the side of the wing, and sits in the hole where the fog light use to live.

The old airfeed that barely ran to the front of the engine bay!:

What diamater pipe did you use mate? I plan to do this at the weekend, did you need anything else apart from tape?

The diameter of the pipe is 3" mate.....as stated above!
And if i remember correctly i bought a 1 meter length which just happened to be the perfect size.

You shouldnt need anything other than tape. But the inner arch does have to come off though. Are you removing your fogs aswell then?

Oops, didn't see that. I also contacted Bill about this and ordered some 80mm x 1M . Yea, I'll probably go ahead and remove them, they will need to come off when I eventually order and fit my Forge FMIC, fogs are pointless in my opinion anyway.

yeah looks a good touch i think i will sort that out once my front mounted intercooler goes on fogs are pretty much pointless as HIDs are brighter lol

Have you had the area behind your fog grills sprayed yet? That would really bug me!

Apperently there should be some plastic inserts behind those bumper grilles George. Doesnt bother me though tbh. Might get round to sorting it at some point.

Not sure i like the towing strap idea but i'll have a think about it.....it might grow on me! Think i'd get pi55ed off with people asking me what it was though!

sorry to hijack mashburn! just wondering if there is a lincs meet any time in the near future? just waiting for a refund on an audi a3 3.2 v6 i bought before picking up an LCR so should have it by end of next week, and hoping to meet up with fellow owners and get tips / opinions etc
