Ahhh thats good then, at least you have first hand experience of alot of his work. Same as me with my bodyshop. Me and my mates have used them for years.

Car looking well since you picked it up mate.

Sorry to gatecrash but I'd be up for a possible Lincs meet sometime when the weather clears up to put a few names to faces. Yeah, its a bit out of my way but I'm keen to meet up with a few more LCR owners so I can compare my car to theirs.

I've no idea if its running as it should as there's a few noises that I'm not convinced are right. Its runs fine though and pulls like a train on the motorway :D

I'm keen for a rolling road though before I start any modding so I know what I've got power/torque-wise as a starting point. Some power graphs would be interesting too.

I'm interested in your engine bay pics from the start of this thread too. I'm keen to learn more about the fitment of turbo inlet pipes, the Forge 007 jobbie and so on because they will be my first mods before going down the Revo route.

Liking the cold air feed! Does this with the panel filter make any noticeable difference?

Also, keen to see how the dogbone bushes affect the handling too.

Nice one!

J:)

Hi Jerry.

There is a Lincoln meet organised on here every now and then so just keep an eye out for the post.

I wanted mine rolling roaded before i got it Revo'd but i'd only had it about a week and got it done on impulse while at Edition 38 (VAG car show). I can recommend Awesome GTi for a RR day though, and i'm sure they will hold another one in the near future.

You are right to get the oridinal dump valve and TIP changed as these are known to fail. See the links below for some help on fitting. Once you've taken your engine cover off and had a look you should be able to see what needs to be done as its quite straight forward.

dump valve guide
TIP guide

TBH i couldnt really feel any massive difference from fitting the panel filter and cold air feed but i'm sure it must be helping. I am however changing to an open cone filter, but only due to the need for more noise! :D Thats if it ever turns up! :(

The dogbone bush makes a really noticeable difference. You can feel that the engine isnt moving as much as it did and theres also less wheel spin under hard acceleration. It does cause a small vibration at low revs when setting off (which some people complain about), but nothing too bad IMO.

I hope i've answered all your questions? I'm still a relative newbie to the SEAT fold so i'm still learning aswell. :)

If you've any more questions, just ask! ;)

Also fitted some Osram Nightbreaker headlight bulbs yesterday, and treated it to some snow foam today! ;)

Thanks Darren. :)

Everybody does red on red, then Nev did blue on red, which i had planned to do as i bought the car with a blue TIP. Also, the likes of Forge, etc only do blue, black and red hoses, so yellow should be a bit less common. :D

My old manifold is now for sale (in the appropriate section) if you know anybody thats after one. So is my Pipercross panel filter. ;)

Mashburn are you happy with the Osram nightbreaker's? do they light the road up well?

Yes i am happy with them and they light up the road alot better than before. For £15ish you might aswell give them a try.

I eventually want to get HID's, but for now these will do.
