Had another after noon down the work shop. I have been there on and off but not done much more just fettling and sorting stuff. But today was a bit of progress.
Starting off by stripping door locks so they can't lock.

So I removed the electric door locking system. And also the child lock system too.

. So in the end all I had was just the locking system. Also I am not having any internal opening pul as I don't need it . They won't be opened from the inside

Then on to building the rear doors.
Cleaned the door rubber and the window surround rubber. Then slid in the new polycarbonate window and fitted the window rubbers.

Then screwd the internal carbon fibre panel to the door

I have ordered some m4 nuts and bolts to secure the window in position. Also am writing a shopping list to send to Thai lol

Sorry I haven't yet read whole thread (yet) but are those rear fender extensions (and door) from BTCC Toledo? And have you more info on those in this thread?

There is some where in the thread how I cut and blended them in to the leon shape. Unlike the leon darkside had from northandsouth they just cut then end off lol

Managed to get a few hours down with the old girl.
So playing with the pedal box and mounting it. I have now come to the idea of making a faulse floor about 50mm higher so the master cylinders on the back don't hit the bulk head..
I made a rough card template
20220305_143223.jpg

Then transfered to 1.5 mm mild steel the cut it out with a grinder.
20220305_150137.jpg
Then a few more adjustments it sort of fits
20220305_143301.jpg

But now I am on ebay looking a buying a metal folder as I need to do a 45° bend on the front then make it fit to the floor. . Then position the pedal box.. Mark and drill holes then weld fixing to the back to bolt to. Then punch and sump some homes to lighten Then strengthen the panel.. I will put up pics when that is done. But I got a call out to had to pack up and go to a break down( I am currently on dafaid. That's a 24 hour call out for daf trucks in my area that break down or get faults etc.) Oh the joys.

Right. Been on the the phone to prorace engineering. After some time of talking of pros and cons or different ideas. I think we have come to the conclusion...... we are going for a garrett turbo.. not a g25 tho.. we are going g30-770 . Also with the stroker being a 2.0 and then ported and full race spec head this should be quite a set up..

Gonna have to have a go at this if for no other reason than not having to replace door locks 🤣

Jayzus! That’s a hell of an engine setup, any ballpark idea for power?

It's supertec valves and twin spring set up. Ported and matched ports to the manifolds. I have got the billing crank pull with pin kit. So bolt in to position ( arp crank pulls bolt) then drill and pin the pully to the crank. This will then help to stop shearing the woodruff key out .
Prorace do a twin pulley set up modification and then with race pec billit catcams. I thing it should have plenty of go in it. 82.5mm stroker pistons and I.e rods . Knife edged and balanced tfsi crank. To give the stroke. Should end up being pretty pokey lol

Now to give the block a clean and get it sent off for machining. Going to have 83mm pistons
