Some new toys turned up today... quick pop to the work shop to have a play... took some quick photos. If people want I will do a more indepth description.
What I have bought is a hydraulic hole cutter. So what you get is this pump

and then a range of different size hole cutters
20220405_192155.jpg

Well we all know what a hole looks like so will skip that.... then I also bought a set of dimple dies to fit the puller

20220405_192215.jpg

Then line it up and then pull it threw the hole and .......

Every thing is now going to get holes ..... lightened

I didn’t think it could visually get any better then your dimple die set I’ll be honest but I was wrong…
Very nice I’m glad I’m not the only one who geeks out over car parts.

These are a love bit of machining. They look ariginal apart from being Billet. The idea it so hopefully make this engine semi bullet proof..... or we'll manic proof.. they will need machining to suit the block . Also to hold it in place is an ARP stud conversion . Again. Stronger than the bolts so hopefully more reliable

They have the extra tool steel thicker wrist pin. Then I went for the thermal barrier coating on the crowns and the tuff skirt coating to help slide and prevent wear.... I wish we had see threw blocks. Or I should have bought 5. And mounted 1 on the wall..ooooooooo

That’s some precision machine work I actually couldn’t see a single blemish or visual imperfection on any of the photos I think prorace might got them selfs a new customer here too.

Carried on making the floor plate for the pedals.
20220409_180151.jpg

I holed and sumped the areas that are not in the way. So on reading and experimenting. The holes reduce the weight but dimpling or sumping reintroduces the strength and rigidity of the panel.
20220409_182605.jpg

I then lined up the pedal and then drilled the holes to mount it . I used some mild steel nuts and then bolted the pedal box in to hold the nuts in the right position then welded the nuts to secure them.
20220409_182618.jpg

Then I moved the pedal box forward an I ch or so then repeated it again so the pedal box is movable. Then gave it a quick paint underside to stop it rusting when it's welded in to position

Supertech head set polished ported and matched inlet and exhaust ports to the manifolds..... je stroker pistons every nut and bolt will be new and arp is available too. Garett g30-770 turbo. The wiring loom is going to bespoke and custom made for the whole car. Not sure whether to go monster gear set in the gear box.... or just say bugger it and go sequential... not sure on that... but with all the mods and stuff.i wanna see 575-600 bhp. But I want driveablity and reliability hence why its going overboard with every thing to give it some good life expectancy

Epic build. Makes mine look like a granny basher haha.

Thanks for the kind words mate. ..... I will be so happy when it's in paint. At least then I can throw it on the trailer and run it to a couple of shows and it looks not bad then. But at the moment it's a constant battle... every thing has to be modified and fitted and removed 20 times lol .
