My CTR use to be able to shake off 330CI's and I would say a standard LCR would be fairly close to be fair. But a re-mapped LCR should leave one no problem. But it still all depends on the driver. I have come across many cars on the road that should leave me for dead and managed to stay with them, but that's down to the muppet behind the wheel. I know of an M3 round my way that i'm confident I could stay with, but he can't drive either. A M3 will pull away from a chipped LCR, that's for certain. But it certainly won't be a walk over like Mitchy says...

Ive seen video's of those cars racing before, although the LCR pulls from the M3 substancially in the vid ive got. IIRC the LCR is IHI'd, I also have a video of it racing a 911 Turbo..........and losing!

Yeah alright... , now your just rubbing it in! :D

I dunno mate cos i cant see the vid, but it seems to be a little odd that a chipped LCR can beat an M3, from a roll?

Its an IHI LCR mate, so a bit more than a remap.

Big turbo conversion running around 350/350 i believe

had a few 330CI's now and not had any problems leaving one behind, gave me great pleasure as well seeing it disappear

mid range on the road i did not have any problems passing one, all be it a slightly miffed BMW driver

but hey it is all fun and games though, so nothing to be taken seriously guys :D

I had a 330ci pull up next to me at the traffic lights and start to rev his engine, he then smirked at me as if to say look what I am driving, needless to say he was not smirking at the next traffic lights after being well and truly stuffed. He didnt seem to want to play after that. :D

I love the 330's just dont like some of the people who drive them, seem to think they are the fastest cars in the world!! :roflmao:

An M3 will pull on a LCR yes but not a quick as you think, I have played with 2 or 3 and evertime has been the same result, 30-100 nothing in it 100+ start to pull away and then really start to pull away.

i have to say the best take down was a guy with a pvt plate "PABIO" ****** image straight away, convertable 330CI, with his gf and big haired mate in the back! thought he was it when he cut me up at the roundabout.....till i passed him on the dual carriageway, could smell his exhaust fumes as well....

i do like the BMW coupe's though, in fact most of the sporty looking BMW's, and especially love the M3, just dont like the attitude i have found from alot of them, shame really.

this makes me laugh, in another thread i kinda got shot down for comparing a 182 to a LCR, now tonight its ok to compare a LCR to a M3.
lets be honest, the M3 is in a different league to the LCR, not just a different class. i also find a ******s a ****** no matter what car he drives. not all BM drivers buy the marque for the badge.

oh and as an aside, even though i know you were fishing, lets be honest, i havent known any women to be pulled by a car since i was about 16.

Shot down is a bit extreme, I said it was like comparinf kit-kats and wagon wheels :roflmao: ;)

Same thing with the LCR and BMW 330 or M3, comparing the LCR to the Compact has more meaning

Thought this might be a reasonably appropriate place to report a recent tussle between two friends, one with a Leon Cupra (1.8T, unmodded), the other with a 325ti.

I was in the Leon, following the BMW, and there was absolutely nothing in it, much to the annoyance of my BMW-owning friend. If anything, at silly speeds the Leon was slightly reeling the 325 in.

BTW, this was a straight bit of dual carriageway, not a twisty B-road. I admit the beemer has got better potential in that situation, but it's also got a better potential of ending up in the hedge also.
