what did you use to seal it ? as you can get a sealant tube that manufactures and garages use to seal wings ect even inner door panels its a cream colour, it works the same as butyl tape but tube form.. under the roof rails hold water also and rust
I used Sikaflex 221 I think ... got a bit better but still leaks.

I've been investigating a leak in the right rear corner of mine. I thought it was comig from the roof hinge area, but now I believe it is coming from the seams near the rear light (proven today with a hose pipe). It seems like all of the seams around the car are starting to craze with old age and turning into leaks!!

I’ve just ordered some Captain Tolley’s creeping crack cure. Anyone else ever used it? Reviews seem to be very positive and seems like less of a faff than scraping out old seam sealer and replacing it.

looks good gear that, seems like a sealer you used in the radiator system and if its good enough for boats its worth a go.. but i bet you don't find any bad reviews as if it don't work the boat sinks lol

Well, captain tolleys hasn't solved the problem, but has helped to show the exact place of leakage. The liquid is blue so it’s really easy to see where the liquid sits and where it seeps through gaps. Blue arrow below shows failed seam sealer. The hole is too big for captain tolleys to plug so I’ve gone ahead and ordered some tiger seal.

Might be better cutting the old seal off, as much as you can then just touch it up

Just an update on my leaks…
I have plugged the leak by the right hand light.
I also poked around the left hand area boot hinges. After poking around with a screwdriver I uncovered the big gaping gap shown in blue below. Surely this has to be the source of my leak on the left side of the boot.

Anyhow, I’ve resealed it and did a couple of other potential cracks. Fingers crossed that it’s now water tight.

Don’t worry. It’s all in the garage ready to be put back to OEM look and I have a big pack of those black plastic rivet thingys. The holes are currently plugged with some butyl until I sort it all out. I’ve just got to build up the courage to whip out the hose pipe and make it rain on the roof!! Please no leaks!!😂
