For me personally, the cost to do hybrid/big turbo is more than the gains offer, and I would argue the same for head work and other mods. At the end of the day, the Leon/Golf achilles heel is getting the power down. Sure, after 80mph you are going places, but wheelspin in 1st, 2nd and sometimes 3rd gear does no favours to power delivery, performance or drivetrain components.
This is one of the reasons I will be refraining from screwing with my new car.

The traction IS indeed an issue, but if you worry about a hybrid, then what
is a BT owner supposed to say ?
That is exactly the reason i went on improving the engine instead of slapping a bigger turbo on.Yes you don't get TONS of power, but you reliability goes up tenfold, and if you are planning on keeping the car,
it's the best investment!!
It's like the car should have been from the factory if it had 400 bhp stock...
Simple as that.
