Had it checked by a garage this morning and its passed the check on the head gasket so no £1500 bill looming

Time to continue the last few bits to change tomorrow including the fuel pump cam follower.

That a new bolt/rethread or new hpfp?
I can see you can unscrew it from the fuel pump so hoping it's just a new pipe needed. I had just finished fitting all the service parts to go on as well and can't start the car to test it runs ok as it spews fuel when the ignition goes to stage two.

A new pipe is much better than a new pump, annoying when the simple jobs turn into a pain in the butt, hope you get it foxed ASAP.

You could ask listers on here as they normally have good delivery times etc..

The plan is to install led bulbs all around the car
Did the inside last night

But haven’t had any bulds on the inside before with out an error. So not holding my breath

I got the side lights, indicators, reverse and fog lights in no worry
Tried to put in number plate light. It worked for a few mins. Made a buzz and turned off both lights. Replaced it to the old one started right up

Give the car a quick clean, to remove the road grit.

Used auto finesse avalanche snow foam left to dwell for 5mins, power washed off.

Then onto a wash down with power maxed wax shampoo.

Finally a drying with my trusty wizard of detailing towel.

Depending on the weather in the morning I may go over the car with a quick detailer and then apply a layer of natty paste wax.

Think I found the cause gearbox issue I have been having. When still it would go into first fine but if moving then it would resist going into first on the first attempt but release pressure and push again it would go into first ok. On the top where the arms attach to the gearbox i noticed some shiney scrape marks. Went to move the arm and it was extremely wobbly with the arm scraping on the gearbox need to test tonight and get a socket on it but finger tightened it to stop the arm scraping. You can see where its cut the sticker in half and made shiney metal.
