What did you and your MK2 do today?

What I thought would be a simple puncture repair on the weekend turned in to a pair of Michelin Pilot Sport 4s on the front! (Ouch!)

On the plus side it was a blessing in disguise, as they are SO much better than the Eagle F1 Asymetric 2s that they replaced. The grip difference is incredible. I've always had Eagle F1s since the GS-D3 days (8-9 years at a guess?) but I am definitely a convert to these new PS4s

Today I set about tidying up the engine bay.

I also silicone sealed the bottom of the engine cover so as I wouldnt have any water getting to the coils

finally bought, cleaned and fitted an engine cover over the weekend as it was missing when i bought the car! thought i might as well clean the reast of the bay while i was at it

Got the car back today after new rear springs, and dampers, new front struts, top mounts and bearings.

Suffice to say it feels 'tighter'

today I fitted a new hpfp as mines had cracked at the sensor at the top and caused my managment light to come on

Fitted the 20mm spacers earlier and moved the 15mm ones to the front.

I think its perfect set up and doesn't stick out too far.

Cant tell much difference on the rear due to there only being 5mm difference.

Will get better pictures tomorrow from behind.

Today we removed my stage 2 map due to low fuel pressure issues back to stage 1 again and the car is driving faultlessley

Gave the Leon a much needed clean and re-sealed my leaking rear light.

When taking the rear light off to inspect it for leaks I used a heat gun to dry it out, but it also loosened the glue on the lens. They actually look very nice without the lenses. Debating whether to take them off all the lights for something different.

Had the read drivers side door module come today from Dave, due to having this week off and to cut a long story short, me and Dave was talking about the better delivery days, he promised me Monday and it was flawless!

I can't thank him enough, but what topped it off was this lovely message for the couriers personally from Dave himself haha!
