No less flex, it's just a coating over the rubber - nothing more. Should last longer than the plain rubber one as that started to show it's age quite quickly (surface cracking etc.)

Just ordered new front and rear dampers, front top mounts and bearings from Dave at Sere.

Now I have decent tyres on (F1 asim 3) it's shown bagginess elsewhere. I already knew the rears were weeping, for how long I don't know and the top mounts and bearing rattle bad over high frequency surfaces.

Looking forward to soothing things out. I guess at 136k it was probably ready regardless.............

Who knows once the chassis is sorted a remap.............? Just a little paranoid about messing with the PD170 motor

I uninstalled old Revo Intake kit and fitted brand new vw racing kit and did a oil change. It feels so weird after driving 2 years with massive induction sound and now there is only minimal sound. :(
Revo intake filter cracked and dropped in engine bay, not so good quality
And it seems to be that after driving over 60km's with volkswagen racing intake, performance is not so good or maybe it is just a feeling.... Time for dyno run! Hope to break 400HP

Went to fit a Scorpion Cat back system to only that nothing in the box would let the 70mm bore of the stainless system connect to the 60mm of the OEM pipe. Not a happy bunny has had to run around trying to find some temp clamps to refit the stock exhaust back on.

I'm tempted to go for ball joints and AR bar bushes whilst I'm at it. Is it worth upgrading the front wishbone bushes if I do them too?

Fitting my 3" cobra catback yesterday. What a pain in the arse the old exhaust was to get off, after smashing it with a hammer it finally came off.

Loving the sound of a proper exhaust :D

Today was time for standing mile, 3 runs and everything worked fine. Also I drove 513km in Cupra bucket seat. My ass and back is killing me!

Today I set about tidying up the engine bay.

Before

After

I also silicone sealed the bottom of the engine cover so as I wouldnt have any water getting to the coils
