Small update I haven’t done anything to any of the cars since October and have just been enjoying the new black Leon. Now the suns back out I’m hoping to make a start on the massive head ache of totally stripping the yellow Leon and fitting the parts onto the new shell.
Massive list of things to swop over.

Revo engines mount kit
Wavtrac gearbox
front and rear whiteline arbs
18z 6 pot brembos 350mm x32mm
Cooler worx shifter
Inner tie rods
GFB lightweight crank pulley
Compbrake track rods ends
Braided lines all round
Air ducting to intake
Air ducting to front calipers
Front and rear struts braces
Ebc blue stuff pads all round
Wheel studs all round
18in compomotive motorsport alloys with
Ad08rs
Rear heat shield for braces
Possibly might swop welly cooler over and take out the front mount the black one has depending on intake temps.
Poly bushes front arms anti lift kit
I need to do the cam belt and water pumper on the black one as well as thermostat, csm follower, pcv fit the 2667 ngks and change the oil and all filters.

Wouldn’t be so bad if a job but keep in mind I’ve done it all already one on the yellow one and I’ve got to do it all over again only to do the whole lot a 3rd hence why I’ve lost all motivation with it.
However I’m hoping to get the bug again for the car and get booked onto some track time finally and hopefully fall in love with it all over again.

You have a fair bit of work to do mate, looking forward to seeing the black Cupra get all the goodies :)
Thanks mate it’ll be good when I’ve done it just need time haven’t been in the best of health this year. But I did get my compbrake track rod ends in the post to help with bump steering and mis alignment driving hard. Hopefully I’ll start next weekend and start to strip the yellow shell and make a start so I can get out on track finally.

Really good read

any updates at all?
Hi Scott thanks for taking the time to read my little thread. I’ve just been collecting parts I’ve now got everything to reshell the car into the black Leon and build my dream spec track car. It’s low budget stuff nothing crazy but basic handling mods and getting the most power out of the stage2+ setup I have.
It’s booked in at tylah motorsport for a 6 point weld in cage nothing fancy but hopefully will make the car alot more stiffer round the bends etc.

I have fitted a full pcv delete kit and catch can with AN lines on the engine with a billet rocker cover made by Dan vixen cnc on insta the guy is a genius and has a lot of parts in the pipeline for the new year all made from billet cnc I’ve got one of his subframe centering kits too which is awsome.
Once Dan has done the RND on the parts like billet inlet manifold and roller bearing mod for the fuel pump I’ll be buying the first production bits for mine I will keep everyone posted on that one as so far that I know of Dan is the only UK based company making these parts Bar tec make them in Germany but they are alot more money by the time you get them into the Uk.

Cracking Read and following, I feel your pain with the yellow one you have, just sold my Mk1 Cupra R Leon, that I've been through the same journey over the last 7 years building a pure track car with, but hit the wall of needing more power and not able to throw 7k+ at it for the engine upgrade it needed next. Was super reliable and miss it already. But had the opportunity to buy a 360 Bhp Fully Forged Leon Cupra R Mk1 for a good price (or at least I thought). 3K later and engine out, it's got a new AET turbo + custom manifold and custom pipes / downpipe and I've pretty much replaced the whole clutch system too, and it's still on my drive with a broken clutch :( .

Quite interested in the spec of your Ibiza (engine, brakes, etc.).

Small update the cars stripped down engine and all good parts off ams the shell rolling ready for the new owner to collect. I’m pleased to say the new owner is keeping the car on the road and has some good plans for it.

Small update

I fitted the TTRS front end to make it wide track and better geo etc from the yellow Leon then fitted the Porsche 6pots and ebc blue stuff pads and did a brake fluid change. After that I fitted the comps onto it and now have fallen in love with the car all over again. Still have so much work to do on it and parts from the other car but it’s a good start.

Good progress mate, them THs look amazing in silver on a black car.
I honestly forgot I even had them as they were in storage since sept 🤦🏽‍♂️ I saw them and thought I should probably fit those and the brakes now. Lsd gearbox and short shifter next and afew other bits and I’ll be back on track 👍

Great work and write-up, but to be honest I had a few tears in my eyes when I see what you did to the yellow one though, but I might be biased (considering I'm on my second yellow Cupra R...) :D

Lol 😂 it was a traumatic time for me too mate I put everything into that yellow cupra trying to keep it alive I’ve never had a car destroy it’s engine but the original plan for that car was to build it up and swop shells to a inferi black one anyway but not until it was completely ready and had afew track days on it etc. luckily the yellow one will be back out on the road this year but S3 converted.
