The underdog is fixed again! She lives with no timing issue or valve damage THIS TIME!
However I’ve admittedly had to bodge it to get it driving and am not happy with the repair.

the car is driving fantastic again and is ready for thruxton on the 27th touch wood.

The underdog is down.

Also k1 miltek which needs a tiny repair on tip.
All the upgrades I’ve made on the thread are staying with me brakes gearbox arbs
Anti lift etc. The shell is available if anyone wants to build a track car am willing to sell shell for £500 with id plate not included.
Plate is £2500 if interested.

rear diffuser will come with the exhaust as a package unless you have a K1

COLLECTION ONLY
Please do not ask me to post as I don’t want the stress and hassle when things go missing or are damaged I always end up losing money when posting anything when selling happened to me 4 times now and will not post a thing.
Grab anything you want from me in person
Parts will be cheap.

What's happened mate? I'm guessing you're going to be building something similar of you're keeping most of the parts? K1?

Hi mate I wrecked the engine at 120mph at
Thruxton Monday looking at the logs the timing shifted at wide open throttle. I found some damaged threads days before the track day on the part that the tensioner bolts too and basically decided I was going to probably wreck the engine so repaired it best I could. I haven’t striped it down to see if it’s that. No I didn’t but a K1 they are too much money for me plus I’d not want to put a car worth £10 round a track so I’m buying another mk2 to swop my bits onto and carry on the build in a new black shell which was my dream anyway.

I am opening saying if your reading this thread and you’ve always wanted a mk2 Leon like me I am willing to donate the bare shell to someone who either been going through a bad time lately or is hard up with money who wants to keep this chassis alive msg me privately. Keeping in mind it will be a shell your getting mot rolling or have anything on it.

I finally got the black Leon I’ve been dreaming about for the last 2 years. 2 days before a show haha I’m going to try to clean it up best as possible Saturday day time. Wish I had a week of I’d be able to swop the yellow ones parts over.
V2 coming soon Watch this space.

One thing I will say is the new EBC blue stuff pads were insane I didn’t have any brake Issues all day driving hard. They were consistently awesome lap after lap and I was doing 15/20mins round the track on stop. Slowing down from speed over 120mph over and over and we’re faultless.
I didn’t even have to worry about the brake as I knew they were doing the job ans capable of even more heat then I was putting them through.
And I drove the car to the track that morning they are good from cold and just get better and better.

I will definitely be transferring the ebc pads over form the yellow one to the black one.

Anyone looking for decent track pads and discs ebc is my choice and has never once let me down.

Very nice mate they look great in black, I bet you cannot wait to swap all the goodies over?
I’m dreading having to swop the bits over mate haha this cars so nice too seems a shame to start modding it and ruining it.

I gave the car its first wash yesterday too was very happy with the bodywork I’m loving having a black mk2 no one notices you driving along and it doesn’t get any attention from anyone.

I think It’ll be better to keep tho one going to show the full story of me and the back ground of the parts going onto the car if that makes sense? I’m definitely taking a little break from cars at the moment due to the amount of work that’s going to be involved in stripping both car down to one the ultimate mk2 fast road or track car.

The photos from Monday. I’m genuinely gutted after seeing there photos the underdog actually performed and looked the part on track for its first outing unfortunately the day didn’t end so well but no point looking back time to move forward and build V2 of the Underdog 1P bigger and better things ahead.
The first thing to be swop over are the brakes I’d say I was more impressed with how they performed that day and so was everyone else. Big shout out to ebc brakes there blue stuff pads made a already pretty crazy brake setup something next level they barely even broke a sweat on track after hard prolonged lap after lap after lap.

Just to recap I will be breaking this car at some point or I am willing to give the shell and Id as a non rolling project away to someone who really wants this plateform of car for a track build etc.
