im worried about my price already had someone email me saying i will need to easily drop £1500 off it to get a sale :S, am i being too abitious at 4000?
It's a difficult one.

If it was relatively standard, yes you'd need to drop it by ~£1,500. I got mine for £2,900 from a dealer, it's same year as yours, same standard spec and with less miles (26k when I got it in April).

BUT...

Yours is no run of the mill Ibiza 1.2. Yours is certainly more desirable to look at and has the unique appeal. You've clearly spent a lot of money on it and it shows, the car looks absolutely class. I think the uniqueness give it extra value. To someone who can afford to insure it with all the mods, and wants something that looks the dog's danglies, it's the perfect car.

Give it a bit longer yet, it's been for sale about 5mins. :p

Scott, how much of a hurry are you to sell? You haven't actually bought another car yet have you? I'd keep the price where it is. you'll obviuosly drop a couple hundred or so off the price in a haggling situation (everyone does!)

I'd say this will happen - A young guy/girl who wants a cupra (which sell for a couple grand more) but can't afford the insurance will come a see yours. You can never expect to recoup money on modifications to a car, but as yours is actually what I'd call a "replica" going as far as roof liner etc I'm sure there will be someone out there willing to part cash for it, just need to wait a bit!

[edit]

I'd also email that guy back and tell him he can take his £2500 and buy a standard 1.2 Ibiza, when he's got £4000 come back and see you. My mate got a Lupo GTi that was stolen recovered (hence cat C? or maybe D can't remember) the only damage was one of the BBS wheels was hit off a kerb and a total loss. He bought Leson BSX's and put new coilovers on it and put it back up for sale - He was asking about £2k less than a standard non-CAT C/D car or the same age/same miles and people were still telling him he was having a laugh and wanted another £1-2k, he just told them all to beat it! Eventually (about 3months later to be fair, someone actually came and saw how clean a car it was and bought it within about 30min!

Or... you could strip all your mods off and Sell/PX? bumpers would get £300? Wheels £350-400? Springs, roof liner, Handbrake gaitor, Spoiler, HIDs, Twin lamps...

You could easy make £1000, sell the car standard for £2500 and that's you only dropped £500?

thanks for the booster lads. no GlanzaV havnt bought a new car yet and cant till this un' goes. i wouldnt like to see any less than 4k for it tbh would need to see how the haggling went :)

p.s. someone on here pm'd me about buying the wheels for £360 cash or 150-200 with there alloys

If you went that way I'd be interested in swapping my standard sport alloys! (Keep it in mind lol!)

See what I mean! This place is full of scavengers! Would be easy if you wanted to put the effort in to strip and replace.

[edit]
I've even got standard sport bumpers in really good condition in the hut if you wanted to sell your cupra bumpers :D

If you are going down the stripping route (in time) the only parts I'd be interested in would be the rear lights. i don't have the money to be spraying other parts!
I really hope you get what it deserves and that you find something good to replace it, although I love my car I doubt I'd buy another Seat, probably a Yaris 1.8l SR for me next.

wouldnt pay 6k for a prefacelift, you can pick them up for £4500 yeh slightly higher milage but these engines are only breaking in at 80k, dont get me wrong i wouldnt want one over 100k but just saying they will go strong for 200,000 probz

That's definitely too much at 6k. My old one's up for that as well and still hasn't been sold.

Fabia vRS is a good shout. I was looking at the blue runout edition last year (with leather and cruise etc), but in the end I felt I needed the bigger car and the Fabia's basically a 10 year old design. MK5 Golfs 2.0 TDis are nice too, yet very expensive still.

What about getting a SportRider TDi and getting it remapped if it's anywhere near your budget at all? Or the 100bhp TDi Sport which is a bit older.
