nah if it was a facelift it would be outwith my budget. i phoned RAC today and they cant seem to quote me on an FR tdi, but compair the market gives me plenty of quotes. seems a little higher than the pd130 but i can justify £1200 for insuring an FR but cant justify £1100 for a 1.2 so i think i will just pay that wee extra and try get the FR but i would lose 2 months with RAC and have a cancellation fee. will see what they say nearer the time, dont know how they cant insure we when im driving 3 years come november and its only a group 8 or 9 i think

the one i am on about is pre facelift mate. If you cancel yout insurance it should'nt cost too much, i cancelled my policy with direct line and it only cost £26 :) Yeah dont understand why you are not getting insured with RAC, i done a quote a wee while ago for the fr and it came to just under £1400 i think. I am maybe looking at changing my car as well as i am sick of problems tbh (the whole reason i bought the car was to have no problems but have nothing but them lol)

wouldnt pay 6k for a prefacelift, you can pick them up for £4500 yeh slightly higher milage but these engines are only breaking in at 80k, dont get me wrong i wouldnt want one over 100k but just saying they will go strong for 200,000 probz

so scene as MOT passed i can start to look a bit more into selling and other cars.....been doing insurance quotes and a prefacelift FR is coming up about £1350, hmmm, ive started thinking ive done the whole ibiza thing and got the T-Shirt, maybe i should just move on and get the word ibiza out my head.

looked at some fabia VRS's online and i must say i like them.....about £1100 to insure and the same pd130 engine....gonna look more into one of them.

my ibiza should be up for sale mid october i reckon.

one of my brothers mates was round for a homer for my bro the other day and said hes going to be selling his celica soon and wants something low powered and looks nice, and said he would buy mine if i was for selling it, said he really likes it. so hopefully i might already have a potential buyer coz he was really keen, got me to take him a run in it.

Nah man, to be honest mate,i couldn't really post on here, but it is subtle points that can make hundreds of pounds worth off difference. Nothing illegal, but bits and pieces that if are caughten onto by others, will eventually be noticed by insurance companies and will be restricted in there effect!;)

Put it this way mate, got my quote through last week for £2400, £1180 again this year i got it to :)

If i were you, i would get something different to the ibiza, even if you did go for a 1.9tdi golf that you previously talked about, it will feels miles quicker than your 1.2 (i drive a leon tdi at work and feel it much faster than mine) and its a quality car unlike the ibiza lol. However, if you do want something that is pretty fast, unfortunately you are pretty much limited to ibiza fr tdi, fabia vrs because of their low insurance group. And for your budget you may be looking at older/high milers

Here are some that i looked at
