Thanks for the comments guys :)

AMD Technik stage 1 remap
------
Day 2: Oh my god has the ECU adjusted, The car is an absolute beast now! There is bags of instant power in nearly every gear. I must admit i fear for my clutches life however I have decided that soon as it starts to slip I am getting it replaced straight away. There isnt really much else to say apart from that I am very very happy with it!

I had a sneaky feeling you might be pleased with it. Should improve more still over the next day or so :D
Wish you had it done sooner? :p

Just went on a 45minute run and I am very very pleased with it Dave. Car feels transformed, the words sh!t load of torque springs to mind. As for getting it done earlier...yes and no. I think i appreciated the car for what it was when it was standard and I liked seeing the progression of things when i started modding. The remap is just the next step in a long list :)

I was worried that I would feel much of a difference as my car was up from standard power figures but how wrong i was!

Up from standard power on different rollers - the difference is what you feel, not what the numbers say :) I think mine feels a bit flat of late although maybe i'm just used to it. Then i look down at the speedo and realise it's still doing what it should be :)

Very true Pat.

Car feels great at the moment though i did notice this odd noise, which only happened twice in an hour of driving. I am not sure whether it is the turbo, DV, exhaust yet but when cruising at 30-40mph and just sitting on the turbo then lifting off i get like a dump from the turbo, exhaust but it sorta does it like 2-3 times in succession? The car doesnt judder or any sort of loss of power, doesnt do it if your going fast...It sort sounds like the DV is dumping more air but not in 1 lot but in 3 small lots....any ideas?

Thank you - hopefully I got LCR wheels soon to at to the mod list. Going to customise them so that they look unique.

I don't know in truth, mine does it, it did it more after the remap and even more when i got the exhaust hacked - i think it's just that you can hear it more due to the extra 'stuff' the remap does ( note the really technical term used there) hehe

Should be getting my LCR alloys courtesy of porki at 6pm tonight. Will give them a good clean and polish tonight and post some pictures. Then its next month of getting them refurbed and customised. I also need to see what state the tyres are in as to whether they need to be changed.

Porki kindly delivered the LCR alloys as stated previously. Porki is truly a top bloke! Had a good chat about the cars and what mods we are planning. Pleasure doing business with and hope to see him at a meet soon!

Here are the wheels prior to me cleaning them. As you can see they are scratched but this is not an issue at all as they will be getting refurbed. Also there was some very stubborn dirt, brake dust on the alloys...i had to use Megs Alloy Wheel cleaner and really scrub it in to get rid of the majority of the grime. There is still some there still!

Here is what they look like after the cleaning.

I am currently letting them dry and then I am going to polish them up to get rid of the stuff that didnt come off. Then hopefully next month money permitting i will take them to get some special treatment! :) Cant wait!

Mine does it too!
After modding the airbox the noise from the turbo is awesome. Booting it in 2nd (the only gear i've noticed it in) it sounds supercharged :-o
If only it was..... :)

I know Slick, I just cant wait to get it done now. I been looking at the tyres that came with them. Two of them got plenty of tred, probably last 4-5k. The other two got tread but will last for 2k at best. They are Pirelli Rosso's so they are "better" than the Nero's but i doubt they will be as good as my F1s :(

LOL! At least they got rubber! :) I will wait until the front two go as they will last for 2k at least and then change for toyo/f1s in summer. I will rotate the rosso's from back to front and wear those down for summer so i can get all four the same.

Well - I might take the alloys down this Saturday as I get paid on Friday. :bounce:

Its the air recoil down the air pipes, youve heard mine do it, but extra loud as i have the Carbonio which is like a megaphone with that noise...
I liken it to the noise a turbo makes without a dump valve, e.g. no valve just a release valve, a couple years ago it was a big craze on the R5 turbos to remove the dump valve to open valve (it has a name, but cant remember it at the moment!)
