I take it you're new to the modifying game? Did you literally just make a box big enough to fill the boot floor and cut a whole in the top? If so it will sound like feck all squared! Sub boxes need to be sized accordingly to the sub being fitted into them. Can't be too big or too small or else the sound will be awful, also the seams of the box need to be sealed with caulk to prevent any air escaping and it helps to fill the bix out with a cotton wool like stuffing to smooth out the sound. That amp is also going to overheat like mad too since it's jammed down the side of the box, there's not enough free air moving around it to discipate the heat it's going to generate so you'll probably find it'll cut out quite often

Nope the top panel is just a filler underneath there is a box sized and made accordingly which has been sound proofed to give it a better bass. I am new to audio but not modifying so i did get my mate who does it for a livin to help me today with the setting of the eq and wiring. The amp will be remounted on the back of the seat as i understand where it is will cause it to overheat.

I would've utilised the floor space and put the amp over to one side under a perspex screen, perhaps with some nice blue neons illuminating it. Or build an angled amp rack to have it sitting up in the corner. Don't think simply bolting it to the back of the seat will look great or be very secure!
Although the back of the seat is metal it's not very thick and you'll only be able to use screws to hold it in place and screws won't stay fixed into a 1mm thick sheet of metal for very long when it's supporting the weight of an amplifier particularly when the car's moving around! Under braking and acceleration the screws will come out in no time and probably cause the amp to smash off the back of the sub.

Had amps screwed to the back of the seat in all my cars and never had a single problem. Would like to do something with mine with all that space under the boot floor.

Couple of new pictures

Quick update on the car and not allot has changed. I blew up the last JVC subwoofer as the fli amp overcooked it. (known problem with the fli loaded amps) so now im running 3200 watt system with 2 vibe 12".

The front grill has also been pink pin striped like a golf gti mk5. Can't wait for gti international.
