Those solid mounts are good crack in a diesel. They shake your eyeballs out on the idle but you can live with them once you move off. Turning off the engine is always eventful as well, whole front of the car shakes up and down. They do their job well though when it comes to stopping engine throw/slam on gear changes or throttle lift off/on.

Haha I bet, I remember fitting solid mounts to a C2 VTS, I'll never try that on a French car again lol.

One of the best ibiza. Makes me sex wee

:) thanks mucka

Picked up a coolant flange and thermostat housing for me engine build. Small progress

Next will be to order ARP head and main stud kit along with crank and cam pulley bolts.
Still got loads too buy for it but I've decided not to do valves/springs ATM as I'm planning on a K04 hybrid it will be outta puff I'm guessing about 7200 so standards should be ok hopefully?! Planning on using the 500-1000k on some new wheels after Xmas.

Anyway did bit tonight.

As I'm skint after buying the pistons etc I had to make it out of plastic rather than real carbon but will buy a sheet when I can and swop it over.

Need to get another facia and just tidy it up.

When I get another race heater and it fitted I plan on having a gauge here

That looks a good idea. Rather it over lapped the edges instead of sitting back inside where the stereo sits. Think it would look more Oem.

Plastic like you have done but an arched peice of bolster wood to screw it to to get the arch right. Hard to explain I can see it in my head lol.

Not sure think I read towards the end of badger5s WMI thread that he had switch to AEM kits for reliability issues with the devils own kits iirc

think the AEM just have a better pump aswell

Ill defo get a forge tank tho :D

Ah ok, ive been looking at the snow performance kits, noticed a few people using them on here. Need to look more into it though. Dont want to rush out and spend £300+ on something that might be total crap haha.
So whats your ultimate plan then? What you getting rid of to save weight? What you doing power wise? Im very interested ;) haha

Yeah totally agree. I'll see what WMI Bill suggest.

Ultimate plan is something to be hammered on track/quarter mile strip and take a weekend hard abuse.
Need to do some maintenance soon got handbrake sticking on, axle bushes gone faulty track rod end lol
Will be stripping out the heater for a race one this will also help as I can reroute the coolant pipes away from the TIP. Spare wheel well will be replaced with a some flat 2mm steel. Wouldn't mind some weld in seat rails either.

Power - I'm pretty set on a K04 hybrid :) with extras
1.9L :D
Large port head
SEM inlet as I don't have a manifold to fit the head lol
Better exhaust manifold
WMI
Possibly wide band Ecu
Super tech valve train (but after it's running and I can afford them lol)

90% sure with my suspension setup it it should be a capable car then.

Ahh nice, sounds good.
I also have thought about the sem inlet but its the cost of it haha.
Wideband ecu is definately on my list to do aswell.
Whens the work starting on the spare engine?
