I know what I'd rather have but we're all individuals at the end of the day. Big v6. Twin turbos. Loadssaa torque. The focus st is nice now. I went to Charles Hurst for a test drive in one and they wanted me to agree on a price and payment plan before I even got in one so never did get a trek in one.

Yeah I love it 350lbft in the st so it does feel good. But yeah the s4 has 360 lbft so feels better plus 2 turbos lol. The st ain't the quickest thing but when there running 300bhp they are! Mines not there yet lol

I said to another mate that the sierra felt a bit ropey and was he going to polybush it etc. Des said Ryan had done all that. Des said they weren't the best handling cars but I couldn't believe it until I was in one. It felt like a railway car when you feel the car go one way and the wheel cage, forget the proper name for it, go the other way. Can they be setup better? I always fancied a sierra cosworth but don't know if I could live with that sort of handling. :)

They handle epic if you can drive them, mine was a rear wheel drive 380bhp. Twitchy as fook. When you plant it the backend tries to over take you lol it's just the way they are. That fiesta rs turbo I just sold garret t34 turbo was immense lag and then all of a sudden the torque steer takes over craziness. Life of older cars I suppose non of this tcs and abs just pure you and machine your in control until your not and your round a tree. You will be found out in an old beast ;)

The last sentence brought back a memory of the mates mate got a 400 bhp engine build done by a company in England in a 3 dr sierra and took it out from the premises onto the motorway nearby and got her into 5th at about 70mph with some rain coming down. Planted the right foot and it swapped ends, hit the armaco barrier and flipped on to it's roof under a bridge with petrol dripping onto the occupants.

My mums 1.6l sierra only had ?? bhp lawnmower was faster. :D I used to drift it on the school weather pitches and the mates sister thought it was her brothers friend and he got grounded at the age of 17

Good to know that they can handle properly. My mums caught me out and I ended up facing the wrong way on the other side of the road, nothing coming thank God. But it had crappy suspension so wasn't sure how cossies handled. Cheers.

Totally of topic but your spin reminds me of working at boots (big industrial site with security) and one night in December was in a rush to leave (2am iirc) and got to the roundabout at the main gate in my parents 1.9tdi altea and spun it twice and carried on as though nothing happens and all I could see was one guard at the gate take his hat off and the other clapping, thank god they didn't know my ass was twitching like a rabbits nose

Received my box of Goodies from Bill today :D

Light weight horn haha

With all the parts arriving I thought I'd strip the AGU head down but can't find my Ribe head bolt tool. So just striped the cams out for now

Good mix of parts there manny. Loving seeing this is going ahead. So much more to come from this car. I can see a 200 page build thread coming haha

Glad you mention the Ribe tool. I've to do my tdi cordoba head and never have before. Would be  for sure.

Did you get your gaskets from Bill as well? The gaskets for my awt engine to get the cam chain tensioner changed are working out about £100 from eurocarparts.

Finally and most importantly. Your parts make me fell like a child at Christmas time even thought they're not mine :D.

Thanks mate :) 200 pages probably right as I got loads more stuff to buy for it and I don't have the deepest pockets and I'm not doing it on credit but I want all the best parts :) haha
Valve train and uprated cambelt next on the list with arp main and head studs lol but might have to wait till after Xmas.

Quite right bud, buy cheap buy twice as they say. I think once i get going with the spare engine, it will probably take me about 2 years to build it. But your car looks so much cleaner than mine haha

Haha hoping to have most of the parts by summer. But feel my wish list is to big haha Give my engine now one last thrash around the Ring next year:D

Need to sort some issues with me steering and suspension too. Haha give yours a clean haha mines ok few knocks and chips here and there tho but doesn't bother me to much it's built to be driven hard and is on a daily basis :D

O yes, now that sounds good. Nurburgring. Wouldnt mind that like.

Oh it needs more than a clean, needs the nearly white panels sorted out. But then im same as you, its a car thats built to be driven hard, and gets it (when the newborn aint in it)
