Brad, was yours ok today? I didn't drive mine at all yesterday which is shocking.

I'm going to go on Friday and get mine tweaked like yours if yours has been sorted.

Tell them you want your money back and go some where decent to get a map ,upping the boost to make high figures that throw the car in limp mode every time can't be good for the car ,

Surely thats what most maps do? Increase boost...?

Let me know how it goes mate. Ill have to get down there soon to get it tweaked.

Yeah all is good, apart from a little problem last night but don't think it's map related. Driving home the eml popped up and bought the code up on vagcom showing 18010 power supply terminal 30: voltage too low. Cleared the code and it ain't come back yet. I hope it's just a gremlin as the code is to do with a disconnected battery I believe and I'm hoping the battery ain't dying lol

Hopefully battery and not map related, lol. Although hopefully for you just a connection and not needing a new battery!!

Would be right before the rolling road meet aswell wouldn't it.

I had this before when the wife was driving the car loads and doing short trips with light, wiper, heater and stereo on.
I took the car for a good long blast and never had this again. Also battery light was flickering some times too

This doesn't sound good regarding AMD's stage 2 map im yet to have the Stage 2 Map put on, currently on crutches with a bad knee so couldn't get down as previously booked

Im booked in at AMD for the 19th Feb so week sat do i need to say anything about this limp mode problem, last thing i want is to pay for a remap that throws the car into limp mode

:(

Pretty sure they've corrected it now bud.

Aslong as I get down there tomorrow, I'll report back regularly on how the car is doing :)

Spooky, I checked last night and had the 18010 code too, only on the Engine control module. Cleared it at the time but will check again.

Haven't disconnected any battery or other power leads that I'm aware of - the only thing I can think of is that I had my ECU checked for any trace of old remaps, wondered if the process of the guy looking at the ECU contents with his laptop might have done something that tripped this code. Maybe if the car's electrics were switched on a for a longish time but the engine wasn't running then this has caused a slight drop in charge?

I had that code too the other day but i had the battery out to trial it in its new box
I did have a 17705 that randomly showed and never returned
Was thinking about this new AMD remap and the superior figures it is producing, could it be similar to the VVT attack map that custom code did??
Very good figures but everyone slated them saying it was not possible

Good News: Passed its MOT :)

Bad News: Got an advisory for oil misting on rear shock. Spoke to Damien @ DPM who I bought them from (less than 6 months ago) and apparently its normal due to the twin tube Weitec damper. Its been cleaned off and Ill keep an eye one it.

Neglected the car a bit lately so today was time to give it a bit of TLC.

Washed. New dipstick tube fitted. Front trim panel in engine bay fixed and tightened. Rear towing cover refitted. Oil checked. All tyre pressures checked.

Took some pics with my BlackBerry Torch, came out pretty damm good for a phone:
