MAP kit can be done in your old mans garage though Owen, no? Haggle is the man for the nuts and bolts, and with your wiring skills and my VAGCOM ing skills, we would be sorted :)

Revo wont need set up other than logging with various settings. You will need another new map Owen, and that wont be a weekend job :(

thats the spirit:funk:

i realy think you guys could crack 400Hp with this

We need to be in the 12's by 20th June bud. You have 3 weeks off, so get the thinking cap on. Surely there must be someone up this way that has done this type of thing before. I am wondering if Wallace in Aberdeen have done it on Evos. Will call them tomorrow.

I am not bothered about bhp readings to be honest though bud. The truth of a cars performance is in times whether on a drag strip or round a track. For sure, brakes, weight and handling count, especially on a track, but sustained power is also very important.

Owen and I beat an M3 V8 and a supercharged VXR8 yesterday, its a mighty nice feeling :). More power = more chance of doing that more often :)

And yes, we are both hell bent on getting in to the 12's :)

The problem then is that gearing will be an issue. My 13.018 saw me cross the line absolutely flat out in 4th gear. An extra gear change will slow the time down :(

Hi bruce, glad to see your on here to answer some questions for us

Regarding MAP and MAF kits which would you recommend and what are the pros/cons for each

We always recommend customers to go with MAP, we can supply a voltage progressive controller which will work from a MAF if its a 0-5v one.

The advantage with a MAP is that if ur intercooler has even a small pressure drop the MAP sensor as long as its based after the intercooler will show this.

Would your man be willing to travel north to install the kit on two cars mate if expenses were covered? May work out better than us taking 2 cars south cost wise.

i found a similar problem at the nurburg ring. i would have liked to have a further 500-1000rpm in 2nd and 3rd on some of the corners

sounds good bruce, you have fitted hundreds of ktis to vag cars now, would you say it is easy enough to install for the average JO with the right tools and equipment

Bruce, would you be willing to travel north slightly if there were a few cars to install kits onto

oh i like it.

the good thing about that is i reckon as soon as you guys do it and reap the benefits, the floodgates will open with people willing to order kits.

Its unknown ground at the moment and everybody is in two minds, myself included

What boost are you guys running at the red line, if the turbo is running out of puff fit the Forge uprated actuator for higher red line boost.

That would make no difference though bud as the rev limiter wont move up. The car would need to be in 5th gear to go faster, but as its not DSG, it robs some time to change gear, so any gain in top speed comes at the expense of the time taken to do it and obviously slower 1/4 mile time.

I should maybe just stick to doing 1/4 miles on the bike

Please excuse the french at the start and end of this clip - the clip shows what I mean about high revs in 4th by the end of the 1/4 mile.

Your mapper can increase the rev limit. How many rpm do you think you need extra considering it will be universal increase across all gears. 200 rpm should do it maybe.
