If it's like mib2 there is a function which is show traffic reports on the navigated route or on all routes. Without putting in a destination it will show all reports. You can use the right hand twiddly knob to zoom to see and again if like mib2 there is a zoom screen button to get it back in after having a look around. London or any large place is good to look for reports. The road agencies use Inrix so they have registered road works shown and also delays. Works a lot better than Trafficmaster ever did.

Knob twiddling will be tried tomorrow......:ROFLMAO:....too late & to tired ATM....

Knob and zoom tap. Twiddle that and tap the zoom to get the image pulled to your GPS position. Assuming it look like this.

As long as you got 14 in the TMC group field. I have Classic FM on one of the presets incase that helps it out. It is suppose to search via using a second tuner for the TMC channel. Poor local reception can prevent it.

Mib2 has a screen where the bar goes across if it isn't receiving anything and then the number it's seeing. 0 if their aren't any but the signal is being received. That's on an option where you can look at reports. If Mib1 had a similar screen your bar should have changed.

It works better round here than Trafficmaster ever did since it's getting the regional highway agency stuff faithfully recorded into their system and transmitted out.

A few things to check. First make sure you have good reception of Classic FM on FM (not DAB). Next change the display in the binnacle to the Audio display. TMC should appear on the lower right side of the display after 1-2 minutes. That shows that the system is receiving TMC data which can only be from Classic FM now. If TMC does not appear, check you have successfully coded 14 for the TMC setting. If that is OK and TMC still does not appear, check that Classic FM is correctly transmitting dynamic RDS. To do that, tune to Classic FM on FM and see if the now playing information is current and correct and changing. The company that runs the transmitters (Arqiva) is not very good at making them work properly. I can only say that Wrotham (London and South East) is good right now.

Thanks...will double check, but up here in the far north of Scotland we get forgotten about!...

All a bit quite in West Wales on traffic reports when I checked but TMC was not struck out so it was getting the signal. When Trafficmaster started go off air in the first bout you wouldn't see TMC transmitted. Questions were asked then it came back. Then six or twelve months later it went completely. For Mib2 atleast the tell tail sign is the icon struck out. But 0 is good or greater ;). They can have always have lost the feed but being modulated or whatever the term would be. Data cable pulled out.

All working today round here. I didn't give it a proper test of waiting yesterday. With no destination in mib2. I think it shows road works and delays in a fixed radius of you so won't stretch to London for me although I've see London before. Might be filtered by transmitter. Best to look with no destination entered. 11 reports so far. Inrix as discussed.

Each transmitter does get its own localised feed. There would be too much data if everything in the UK was broadcast by each transmitter. From Wrotham I get to see everything in and around London despite being in East Kent. After a couple of minute earlier I had 107 reports from as far north as Luton. And this is what you want to see in the display:

Now to get a set of new station logos & update the station logos..I still have the old set from 10yrs ago saved in a folder on my desktop...need to get a new ones...

I thought it might work like that although I've seen as far as London in the past. Over a hundred reports you'd be lucky here ;).

The mib2 icon looks like the top one I posted, gets a cross through it when no TMC. That's on the traffic screen on the menu. Probably the same on mib1 when you see a traffic report on the map normally you tap it to read what's its reporting. Useful on the shopping run when I take the main road back to keep the DPF clear, ongoing water pipe work and I take the back road 🤣.

I was going to tell him that , now the official source of radio icons for Vag. There is a mib2 routine on Mibsolution.one which works with it, @leonlad reported but whether the dumped database is the same as mib1, pass. That replaces what is built in.

Other than that you stuff them in a file and pick out the ones you want. I in fill the missing ones with just taking them from the other site. UK just the commercial radio stations tend to be missing since they change so often.

Have a resource on the in fill method which probably works with mib1:

(Although I did say mib1 only).

BTW the BBC is threading new DAB stations... not sure whether DAB Plus is on Mib1 so you'd be digging some more out. Those same stations that are on the iPlayer if they get green lighted.

I have always installed it and it works without any problems. The installation is done via the normal settings menu, not the service menu

MIB1 does support DAB+ and can download logos directly. I think BBC WS is the only one where it works nationwide.

That's the BBC proposal.

I'd use the in fill method since I don't like to live too dangerously .... if need be. Reckon those won't be in it but you are the radio expert.
