My "Overtaking Right Prevention" still doesn't work. I have ticket open with support and sent them logs couple of times. I tried it yesterday around 13.00 last time and still no success. But it's not SFD related.

Hoping the app isn't messed up at the minute since in about a weeks time I'm setting SS back on an Arona whilst it gets serviced. Won't be happy if I can't do that... May be the garage won't notice 😉. They don't look at error reports now such is life that their new cars throw up errors they can't fix. 🙄.

They might have messed up the positioning on the long string for that Agnes on the Formentor. So what you do in the app doesn't get returned to the car as a "Do-it". Still it's good when it's working.

Nothing worked for me either SFD or not can’t do nothing with my fancy OBDELEVEN gen 2 and pro plan.

Spoke many times with the support and shared many log files but nothing from them

Is it split between generation 2 and generation 1 I wonder or did they mess up the systems after they launched SFD. I think most peoplr are on generation 1 with most early success on the Formentor or did generation 2 work fine at the same time that Agnes did her's. It's said generation 1 screens are better.

And unfortunately for IOS users like there is no other option

Does anyone think OBD Eleven ‘could’ get the purple wrap around lighting back as an option? I think that colour looks best.

I sent them new logs couple of days ago and haven't heard anything back, just chased it.
ok thanks ,one change i made will not undo it fails everytime ,i wanted it totally std for when it goes in next weekend to diagnose the steering fault.
it was the scandinavian DRLs i turned them on with app and now they wont turn off....no biggie i guess.
i am still amazed there are at least 3 faulty control units on every scan and 6 faults found.

There is a lesson to be learnt from those micropayment apps e.g., don't use them. You might have seen me getting huffy with someone who feeds the code into Obdeleven for brownie points. They get published as macros and screw people's cars up. Stick to Pro coding.

I'm wondering whether Agness' long string has got corrupted, you'd have to look at the original and how it is now. Put them side by side.

The history options shows what you have done. The backup shows the long string. That's why they tell you to back up. Putting before and after long strings next to each other reveals any changes that might have got in.

History changes which are not backups may show any mistakes but suspect if it gets screwed up internally in Obdeleven not what happened... not sure.

Control unit 13 that needs eye-balling in the history and any backup with now and original, mod 1 on the list... you could always give yours to Agnes for comparison with what she has at the minute if you haven't touched yours:

@ninja_geezer further thought on your DLR issue with that duff app and Agness' coding issue, I think you need to share admaps as they call them for the Formentor. The back up. When I've posted mine I take out the VIN number for confidentiality. If Agnes hasn't touched the control units that the duff micropayment app touched on yours then you use the byte editor on the long string to edit yours back to hers after taking a back up obviously.

Ditto you might see what is wrong with Agness' if you haven't touched yours. I guess it would be good to get Formentor's virgin admaps on the thread from people. A little bit of computer science knowledge is required to frig the long string into bytes to edit via the 0-1 toggle. I decoded how to get the Ateca Cupra infotainment screen logo from a VCDS long string dump I was given (on the Ateca Cupra thread). That worked and found the code I needed to put in Odbeleven to resolve an issue of why export Ateca Cupra's with the standard mib2 didn't have the Cupra splash screen, I then got that on my big standard mib2 high Ateca... mib2 standard turned out didn't have the Cupra splash screens loaded. That procedure is essentially the one you do to restore corrupted long strings.

If Agness' lane assist string is the same as yours untouched then it will be an Obdeleven bug.

Not sure if there's need to check long coding against another car, since there's history and you can see long coding changes. I changed Overtaking right prevention to Disabled in August and then changed it back in November, so have history for both actions. Now. I can't disable it again. But if @ninja_geezer has problem with reversing his change, it might have something to do with app problem, not our cars.

That was a rogue micro payment app that Ninja had so what changes it did are not known or put another way what the long strings looked like are not known. For you, you can't action the changes again. It's been known in the past that Obdeleven has corrupted the cars programming which is the long string in each control unit. The back up shows that. Whilst you might have the history file if the software has taken to corrupting the long string, you aren't seeing the rest of it. That's why you are told to back up.

That original backup is called the admap (the address map). Only by checking the original backup with what you currently have do you know this. In Ninjas case seeing yours on the lighting units plus other units it may have changed resolves his issue... that is unless he has the original. Restoring from the backup requires manually fiddling with the long string in the 0-1 screen and some knowledge of hex, bytes and bits. Expect Ninja has that, but just lining up the original long string against what it currently has resolves whether anything has changed which should have not. In Ninja case it would be undoing the Swedish DLR micropayment app.

That's what I would do anyhow. My two maths degrees and all that 😉. Ninja has got to do that irrespective of whether there is any issue in how Obdeleven is working on SFD at the minute to undo whatever that micropayment app did, if they want to undo it. Personally I don't touch black box mods. That is the considered view of many Obdeleven Pro users. Honey pot trap.

Since I already rejected my car and just waiting for my private plate to be removed, I'm not that bothered about doing my change again. And I also don't want to mess around with coding, I will be putting car into original settings before it's collected. But I still keep ticket open with OBDEleven, because I want to know what caused the issue.

Control Unit 09
‎‏Adaptation
Daytime Running Light

Tagfahrlicht Dauerfahrlicht aktiviert zusaetzlich Standlicht:
New value: ON
‎‏Old value: OFF

This is what i used.
That's good, one to add to the list. Moral somewhere on those micropayment apps... I got 500 points now since I dont use them and given one point a day I power the app up 🤣.

Did a translate.

I don't know whether you have an equivalent on the Formentor to method 2 on the Ateca:

That one enables a menu choice on the infotainment screen so you can turn the DLRs off when it takes your fancy using the infotainment screen. They are sort of compressed menu options which get liberated to do things. I got that one off the Club Leon board at the time. Also an example of where I screen shot a screen with settings and put it through the Google translation app to read the graphical image and translate to English from the German field names.... useful at times when published mods are a bit scant on the exact procedure and if you dont know German can be a bit tricky.
