One of mine lasted 3 months. The seller sead send it back and get a refund.
I reckon he knew that they had to be smashed to bits to get em out.
Just slung it.

Its working when i suck n blow on it. But when it shuts off it isnt totally air tight but definitely functioning.
So, the post above relates to a valve fitted into the pcv system that im refitting to my car as i cant get on with the catch tank setup.
Wasnt convinced that when i sucked and blew on one of the pipes that the valve shouldn't fully shut off and ordered a new one from TPS.
Turned up today and gave it the suck/blow test and the new one fully shuts off.
The moral to this story is, if your running a standard system and your not busy spending money on door locks, window regulators and butyl tape you should buy one for peace of mind.

Something I've been meaning to do for ages since I snapped the plastic brake hose retaining clips when I changed the rear beam bushes.

Thanks Thai-wronghorse for recommending the p-clips - the star washers were a bit of a pain to get on the one furthest under the car, but they're on.

While I was in there I decided to check for play in the shock absorber mounts to see if that was where the knocking sound was coming from, but nothing that would make me think there was anything wrong. I might try taking the roof rack off and go for a drive to see if that does anything. Maybe it's not on tight enough on one side or something.

And yes, I did forget to put the ABS sensor cable back in its bracket. It wouldn't be right if I didn't forget to do *something* important before putting the car back on its wheels.

In regards of fitting the p-clips & star washers on the rear beam, I used a small deep 1/4" socket as a punch over the top.
A few taps with a hammer and they seated right down nicely.

Yup, can confirm this works a treat (did it with heat shield ones... after faffing about for ages to get them on)

What size p clips are those, have a feeling I may need to do this to mine soon

Looked at the set of Polish Wuzetem DSLA 150P 520 nozzles sat in my drawer.
Chickened out again from fitting them.
Would my 260,000 mile nozzles be worn out yet?
Er, probably.

No excuses, as I've even got a diesel pop tester sat in the shed.
Slide hammers too.

Those are 5mm, but I think you could go down to 4mm and not have any issues.

Did exactly what you recommended - thanks for the tip. The star washers I got weren't the very best but when I set the car down, they were still in the same place.

Ok cool, if I remember rightly I may have hammered my washers a bit flatter as well so the tangs pointed inwards a touch more.
They're on there anyway.

Looking at making some sizeable changes to the aero so need a baseline otherwise I'm just making cosmetic changes that can ruin the car
