Smoke from Alternator area

Recently been having battery draining overnight issues, having to jump the car every morning to start it, the alternator is charging the battery, I had it tested. Today after a start I had smoke from the belt, mainly the larger pulley below the alternator one which I’m assuming is water pump. Photo above

Any ideas of what this could be?
Alternator replacement?
Water pump replacement?
Or it’s just started up funny? It took a bit of time to start, 2-3 turn overs but I put that down to the battery.

Thanks in advance

Hi mate.

Water pump is driven off the cambelt. Aux belt drives alternator, power steering pump and AC

I would remove the belt and spin all the pulleys by hand, make sure the bearings aren't seizing up on one of them. Easy to remove the belt. Attached pic.
