Another part arrived today so tomorrow will be mocking up a front end to see what goes where n what needs work/ordering.

Oh, and testing out a new battery

Mate they’re classy!!!

Fitted that febi dogbone I think I can definately feel a difference it’s not as jerky, also re fitted the standard downpipe and cat for now. Prefer the sound anyway to be honest the decat got annoying fast.

My speakers sound like ****, one isn’t working and one has split I think...... the joys

Found this in the comments when someone asked what they did to the exhaust.

I'm always keeping in mind that whatever I do has to pass an MoT test and I don't really want to pollute more either, so I'm guessing that kind of setup is out for me.

Lots of conflicting information out there about exhausts on diesels too - my understanding is that they make a difference to power on a petrol car but not so much on a diesel, so as lovely as it'll sound, there's not much point to it
Been a bit busy so slight delay on reply to this.

Benefits of a Milltek (other exhausts may differ)

Stainless steel means less corrosion.
It comes in 3 pieces so there's no screwing around with a fixed over axle bend.
The tailpipes exit the right way.
There's a little performance increase (exhausts work on any engine, it's about restriction of airflow, it's just OEM exhaust on the high end SEAT diesels weren't super restrictive).
Airflow at the back end sees a small aero improvement as the box sits snug up inside the bodywork.
It looks 👌

Downsides
It's a snug fit, if you have any loose heat shielding you'll be fixing that or enjoying the rattle on idle.
Umm.... it's a bit of a faf to fit. Leave everything loose till the pipes are fully connected (don't ask).

Pumped the tyres up - drove it out of the car park and back home.

Ever seen those videos where people leave their grotty bike somewhere and when they come back to it, someone's taken it away and totally renovated it?

I live in hope of that happening to my car. I'm guessing if you left it in a car park for a week, you might have been feeling the same...
