I've been listening to this on repeat and wondering if I could get my exhaust sounding like this.

Didn’t take long to find the leak

At least its a fracture and not corrosion.
Should be able to find a local garage with a mig to fix that pretty quickly 👍

Possibly i guess.
Is there a flexi section up front on your exhaust?

Yes. It’s just out of shot. The dog bone I’ve just taken off feels the same as the febi one you sent. Guess I’m looking at engine mounts too. How do you check?

If the one you took off is original, the febi one will be a lot better however they feel off the car.
If you want zero movement, use the polly bushes i sent. No movement in those beauties lol

But is it gonna break my spine? I’m just trying to replace what needs doing which seems like everything lol

No, not at all. It'll stop your engine swinging back and forth.
I wish it worked for me but sent too much feedback through the car.
Honestly, its an age thing i like a quiet car these days and my missus doesnt get car modding at all. She thinks that anything other than fuel and maintenance is a waste of money. To be fair, she has a point lol

Engine cover cleaned up

Beautiful... I'm looking out for the plastic retaining clips that hold the rubber grommet into the engine cover - would be a shame to ditch my whole cover just for the sake of one of those being missing - will drop you a DM if I don't have any luck...

Found this in the comments when someone asked what they did to the exhaust.

I'm always keeping in mind that whatever I do has to pass an MoT test and I don't really want to pollute more either, so I'm guessing that kind of setup is out for me.

Lots of conflicting information out there about exhausts on diesels too - my understanding is that they make a difference to power on a petrol car but not so much on a diesel, so as lovely as it'll sound, there's not much point to it

Speaking of wich, ive finally got my car booked in for a 3 inch downpipe and sports cat to mate up to my milltek in a few weeks.
And it'll be ready for its stage 2 remap. That'll be later in the year though.

Yeh, i agree with you on the MOT thing 100%

My thinly veiled excuse......

The middle and rear sections on my car were looking very ropey and looked like there was very little life left in it.
I didnt want to fit an aftermarket system from the local parts factors as at best they are cheaply made and restrictive.

I rang TPS and the rear box is now obsolete. And if it wasn't, it would have still been around the £500 mark for the 2 sections.

So got the milltek that is stainless, less restrictive and cheaper.
And got a decent note when giving the car a decent push.

Better check your exhaust for 'corrosion'.
