hello not much to update sadly :(
i have booked my tickets for GTI INTERNATIONAL 2012
i am also going to jap fest at castle combe this saturday, will be repping seat all the way

i did some power runs tonight, mixed results really, 226 gs so im -6 off my best, i may have a small boost leak, car still felt very strong top end.
but this was the surprise

327 ftlb from 1.4 bar of capped boost. when i remove the mbc to release my 2 bar spike and wmi its going to be rather epic torque from a k04 :) so glad i have rods
thats pretty much it for now
peace out

It all looks great quality and tasteful mate, well done. Have a good time at inters.
Don't worry about the maff readings, the butt dyno always knows best. I can pull 250g/sec + but won't flow past 290bhp on the dyno due to the stock manifold so proves the maff is just a yardstick. Even if your top end hasn't dramatically improved (which i'm sure it has), the mid range will have improved with possibilities for extra timing maybe and reduced egt's. Only one way to find out and thats to get her on the truth teller.:)

future plans

hello all, not really an update
i have been thinking of future plans for my car. seeing as its capable of taking big power im thinking why not?
so im going down the k04 hybrid route just to test and prove that the new relentless hybrid is a great reliable turbo.
After this i will be going bt. well not really big but im after 400bhp max so turbo wise im looking at a GT2871. want something with quickish spool and 400bhp. i will build this up on a spare block and hopefully transfer it to my car with not too many issues. other plans are a uprated clutch, probably the awesome gti kit. then i will be looking at diffs. this will be a slow project due to limited funds and other commitments but should be fun and a big learning curve i hope [B)]
peace out

I feel exactly the same to be honest mate. First i want to get my setup running at max potential then i want to enjoy it. After that i think BT but early spool is a must and a tight budget too. Exciting times ahead. (375bhp max for me.)

good man, i would be more than happy with 375 tbh. the trouble with the k04, it seems torque out weighs bhp. so you get so much bottom end but due to the lack of top end it leaves you wanting more. saying that i have not felt a hybrid yet, im sure that pulls much harder top end.
