I have spent the last few days knee deep in schematics and multi-meters, i realised that the ecu that i am using now differs from the old one, in the way that the ignition coils are powered. So **** got real and out came the soldering iron.

To say i was happy was a serious understatement. I hope my neighbors enjoyed the sounds of 6cylinders with open headers, at 9 o'clock this morning as much as i did.

That's all the plumbing and wiring done, bar one PAS pipe. It has a massive water leak from around the water pump. No biggie, will look at it tommorow.

In my haste to get the engine back in I forgot to order, so i never replaced the o rings on the 'crack pipe' as soon as I filled it with water and heard it leaking I knew this would be what it was  so this morning the front came back off, new rings were picked up and fitted. At the cost of £4.50! I could have just stolen some from work, but I didn't know the exact size, and didn't want to have to do it all over again.

Filled it up with water and no leaks :yey: once I have run it up to temp with no leaks I will drain it and fill it up with G12.

Also tidied up the wiring, once it is running and fine, I will extend and re route all the wiring up the N/s wing. This is how it looks for now.

Nice one mate, did you punch the air when it started?

The video is the second time I started it, the first time I didn't turn on the camera because I thought that might be what jinxed all the all the other times I tried! And yes, I went mental!

Ah right ok cool ive seen those didnt know if they was any good

Depends what your intentions with the car are, I completely ditched the screenwash before as I never use it in the summer, and just carried a rag and a spray bottle. I only got the washer bag to get it through MOT. They won't hold as much as the stock bottle, and can be hard to fill up, but you can hide them anywhere! Not being my daily driver none of those things bother me.

Since i got the car out the garage i prepaired to run in the engine, (see video below) started up fine, no leaks, oil light not on, started to get some smoke from the engine bay, and i was so angsty and nervous i shut it off. It turned out to be the lambda wiring melting on the downpipe  its not a nice thing doing an initial start up on your own, as you can't be everywhere at once! I will shortly be booking it in and trailering it to get my eggsauce made, so that it will be a little less asbo.I will be fitting my miltek cats, and going for a 2.75 pipe back to a hidden tail pipe.

So damn close now mate, really chuffed for you

Cheers mate, feels like its been going on forever! It's just the nice finishing jobs left. Oh, and trying to get it through an MOT with these stupid new rules. Does anyone know, with revo stage 2 you can have the rear lambda's mapped out, does this mean I could totally remove them all together and blank them off? As I don't fancy having to wire all 4 lambdas into my existing loom, I just want to keep the two in the down pipe.
