Sorted out my box at last, basically I have a 4motion gearbox, I have removed the transfer box and blocked off where it was with a plate.

With this I put the gearbox on and got it all mounted up!

Basically some turd on the Internet told be you can fit the upper timing chain with the ear of fitted. This turned out to be a lie! And the gearbox, flywheel and crank seal all have to come back off! First I all I bolted the head on, then took the engine back out and have stripped it all down again!

Should have it back in in a couple of days when I get some time.

Still a long way off running I think, and currently it doesn't look like the bonnet will ever be able to close

I didn't put any writing along with this because i couldn't be arsed  BUt basically, it had had to come all apart, and as it did, i decided i would be a fool not to change absolutely everything involved with the timing. All bolts, guide rails ect. After that, as you can see i got the engine in, fit the drive shafts whilst it was hanging, and then bolted it in place. NOw i have started on the big mass of coolant hoses and wiring loom. Which feels like a mission

Managed to get the engine harness all wired in. Got the engine to turn over by the key as well. Was very exiting!

Got a lot of the coolant hoses fitted as well, with the help of my new toy. £12 from Aldi.had to cut a few pipes down to get them how I wanted.

Cranked her over to check for oil pressure, which, was ok, thank god.

I had a go at starting it and no joy. It's cranking, but no fuel pressure for some reason. Didn't get a chance to look into it properly. But all fuses seem ok, the pump just doesn't run when its cranking over, or prime when the ignition is turned on. although of the relay is removed and refitted, the pump instantly primes. If anyone has any guesses let me know, but I will have a proper look at it on Sunday.
