Lol what's wrong with the SFS tip? Fits better than the B5 :)

Tom i have all this work done and the only thing you wish to quote on is the sfs tip, first off its has a very short reduced section, not the same as yours and it doesnt fit the oem position of the maf, massive cutting will be needed but still it sits to high, can not adjust this. It will fit but not as good as the b5 tip. Also it rubs on the gear linkage. Will get some pics up tonight. I now have both tips and for me the b5 just fits better. Logging will be done soon.

Mine is fine and I've fitted one to another standard LCR and no rubbing at all. Was very easy to fit. Car feels much better too. Can't comment on the V2 as I only had the V1. Maybe your one is faulty as mentioned.

Rest of the work looks spot on but I've seen it on SSS. Coming along nicely :)

I want to do my rods eventually, they look the business Sam.

to those that are interested, this is the reason i did not like the sfs tip. first reason was simple, would not fit my neuspeed heat shield as the tip was too high and hight cannot be changed.
the pics will do the rest of the talking

now im not slagging off the tip as i know it makes good power and is a great price, this post is only sharing my experience with the tip and the reason i dont like it.

Fantastic job on the rebuild mate you must be very happy! Shame about that sfs tip from the pictures it does look like an odd shape looks like you could of ended up with a faulty one. Guessing youll be refitting the b5 v1? Sorry didn't get back to you last week. It was a bit of a manic week at work.

update

hello guys.
my car is now run in :) didnt take long but was tricky keeping it topped up with v power this week, probably the worse week ever to run a car in.
during the running in i ran at actuator pressure by unplugging the n75. last night we plugged it back in and omg what a machine. still running 1.4 bar of boost but scares the hell out of me. spinning in 3rd on a hot day is pretty awesome, not good for racing but good for man points :) i will book a dyno session with bill at Badger 5 asap, not to look at power but to get the most out of the relentless high flow manifold on my current map. without question this manifold has transformed my car in terms of power and delivery. to say im impressed would be a understatement. still have .6 bar of boost we can use on spool up so will be very interesting from a torque point of view. top end is amazing as the car does not stop pulling hard, all the way to the redline.

here is a little sound clip, spec is relentless manifold, 3" downpipe with decat and resonated milltek cat back.

i also gave the engine bay a good clean today as its the first since the rebuild and it was looking messy.
