Looking great Sam, can't wait to see this baby back on the Dyno. :) You'll break the 300 bhp barrier for sure I recon and probably the first to do it it on a stock K04 tubby..... on Bills rollers at least.

Thanks carl, that would be awesome and maybe possible as i saw a mk4 golf on a k04 hit 304bhp on a true dyno without meth. he was running the relentless manifold, downpipe and decat.

no bill, i sent it back as they are making another one lol
i have the agu head arrive today, unsure weather to fit it or not. maybe build it up ready for when the other turbo arrives and fit both at the same time, in two minds atm

hello all, big update. engine rebuild has now been completed :) im over the moon at the fast progress and quality of work by my good friend and fellow forum member rick. the following parts have now been fitted.
DM forged con rods with new oem bearings.
ARP head bolts
Oem piston rings and honed cylinders
Supertech exhaust valves + seals
THS engine mounts
Relentless manifold
IE timing belt kit with manual tensioner
oem oil pump
oem water pump
All new gaskets.

after finishing the build, we turned the car over with the injectors unplugged to allow oil to flow around to aid lubrication before we start the car.
i have uploaded a video below of the first start, fired up pretty well :)
now time to run the engine in, the car will only be running actuator pressure during the running in process. more good news insurance is now sorted for the next yeah :) pics and videos to follow below

head stripped

new supertech exhaust valves

rods and bearings fitted

piston rings fitted, cylinders honed

manifold, ARP head bolts and head fitted

IE timing kit fitted

rocker cover all cleaned up

finished, still need to put my b5 tip back on, not happy with the fit of the sfs tip, still im sure there is one man here, who will be more than happy to run some tests with it :)

first start

comments welcome

Well done sam nice work!

out of interest what exactly were you not happy about with how the SFS tip fitted? I'm about to order one from AMD so would appreciate your feedback, though mine will be fitted to a modded airbox not an open cone like yours.
