thanks all for the postives means so much :)

yeah kinda willing payday along now so i can order my intercooler, still have to wait though as its gotta be made by forge, can't order in advance kind of thing which is a bit boo! but hopefully it will be ready from 7-10 days after its been paid for according to JKM

im told after its fitted the car might run rough as hell, as its going to mess everything up the idea being to get it remapped at the same time which i can't afford!, so im going to disconnect the battery and try and reset the ecu with my friends plug in play unit,

fitted the center caps tonight hopefully they will stay on! got dark by the time i clipped them on cars all dirty and dusty again oh well

Oh and fitting the intercooler with no map will not affect the car in any way what so ever , I ran all stage 2 mods for a few months with no map with nothing wrong

HI RS6, just wanted to set a few people straight.

my intercooler is not a cheap cooler.its not universal. yeah its £350 but to some people thats a lot of money. the kit is top quality. my cooler is the same size as the forge, but has a better cooling aid than the forge as it sits below the crash bar giving max cooling.
heres a pic to give you an idea of the size, the forge one has the same depth as the pipe on top (60mm) (mine 90mm)

also the fit is perfect
how can they better this

badger 5 (bill) was very impressed with my cooler when i saw him last week. he pressure tested the cooler setup to 2 bar without a single leak. also we did 5 rolling road tests, every test came back with low 20s intake temp. so people please tell me why this is a cheap ebay cr+p kit. and yes you can keep your fogs !!!

at the end of the day dan, a intercooler is a interccoler, if it cools and doesnt leak then it doesnt matter what make it is FACT
i think the reason people say forge and forge only is the fact they knew they payed over the top and dont want to see anyone else get the same product cheaper. dont get me wrong i love forge, i have loads of forge stuff but if i bought the forge cooler i would want it fitted for free.
me and tomlcr both have the tx kit and both of us are other the moon with our results

yeah they are a good company m8, fantastic service and tbo they make the best dump valves. but when it come to the intercooler, well i got my wheels and cooler for the same price lol. i must admit im not a fan of the toyo kits, the joiners look far too small, but again if people fit them correctly then they will see good results. also with my kit the pipe work is spot on, so if you wanted at a later date, buy a forge universal cooler on its own and connect it up to the existing pipe work.

The problem with intercoolers is that unless they undertake a lot of independent scientific tests it is difficult to say whether some are better than others, including the posh brands, the cooling of the intake is just one element, you also have to look at flow rate and heat soak and probably others I can't remember,

thanks gerokost!

right got it fitted and on today with the help of my mate :D very good day  weather was really bad with heavy rain showers, so we had get the car inside my mates garage and continued with flood lightsl lol

we took loads of pics as were going! so im sure he will upload them and as soon as he does i will post them up, all went rather well not to bad with the bumper removal, only thing was we had to modify the weld hangers a little bit to get the bolts through to secure the intercooler apart from that it was job done!

also fitted some LED side lights at the same time to match the HID's been out for a drive all seems fine!

oh and kept the fog lights with no problem

I have to say Sam the ebay intercooler looks good and prob works just fine, nice price two, but the forge intercooler i fitted today is bigger than that dont think they are the same size
