My Seat Leon Cupra R ** CAR SOLD* NEW CAR!

Hi all

I was the fitter of the intercooler, well actually most the stuff lol on the car and a supplier of HIDS/leds:p

Regarding the fitting, it is pretty straight forward. Getting the bumper off was not that much of a pain. undo a few bolts and unclip. you dont need to jack the car up you can get to the side bolts just by turning the wheel. Once the bumper is off just remove the passenger light and remove the old intercoolers and pipes. the most differcult part was actually getting to the jubblie clips to undo as the car build decided to put most of them at the back of the pipe. why i really dont know. Next was to remove the horn and slam panel and fit the new slam panel. This is just the original slam panel with 2 tabs/mounts welded on. There was an issue with this as the bolts would not line up from the mounts to the intercooler so i have to widen them using a file. After that is was just a case of fitting the hoses testing for air leaks and the refitting the bumper which was a bit of a pain. Overrall a easy job, i have done worse.

Cheers MJ

Awesome work mate! Any little tips or tricks when fitting it? Mine should arrive in about a week along with some other goodies :)

Also, have you noticed any difference in the way the car feels?

Thanks matey! well just take your time really, loads of screws come off so make sure you keep track of everything, print of the instructions from the forge website just in case in colour, also print off this bumper guide here

http://fallenangelxsi.piczo.com/?preview=y&g=24212843&cr=2&rfm=y#

As MJ just said few awkard bits getting the bumper back on, but that was it really, should be easy enough! :D oh and use a faint finger tip of oil to apply round the edges of pipes aiding joining them together makes it easier to slide the pipe work on and off (you will see what i mean when you fit yours). Yeah have noticed a difference already went out in the car yesterday, backed off my drive way into 1st into 2nd all of a sudden whoosh! foot slipped off the clutch for a second mazing bit of power seems much smoother and holds boost longer so far, loads more to come though after remap!

oh i didn't get any forge stickers inculded in the box as advertised so emailed Forge they have just sent me 5 stickers and key ring in the post free great service!

Just filled up a full tank :-O rare moment!

Finally made it to pay day the usual £10 of super have worn me down and tbh have been pointless getting about, so tonight i thought right! full tank time!! hoping for about £40/£50 tops! went to shell got the V-Power! mercivly the pump started to click at £64.75 don't ever fill up full :D according to the computer i have 300 odd miles out of that that 51litres of fuel just over at something like £1.27 a litre ouch

and nows it snowing so car will be stuck on the drive lol :(

I deem it a false economy to drop a tenner, or twenty in. I have always filled up in full and with Optimax back in the day ala V-Power now and tend to fill up 12-13 times a year.

Nice one, so you'll be mapped well before the RR day down there..

Yeah I'm running the map, it's very good. Nicely progressive and it really flies. I've never driven another mapped LCR so can't comment vs others but it's awesome.

Had a few niggly probs with my car this last week, but should all be sorted soon. You'll love it. I'm sure your car is upto the job ;)

Thanks mate you can get those center caps from ebay, search on there they have various styles etc you just remove the seat logo that is pinned onto the standard center cap and stick this on instead, haven't come off yet, and are very good quality
