headlamp protectors seem like a good option nowadays with our roads!. How much mate?

Bet you are counting down to th 5th!!!!

Yeah really looking forward to the AMD map! hoping for a good result with out any problems lol :)

I paid £35 for the head lamp protectors with a discount from the friendly seat parts guy they are discontinued and no longer made so very limited stock left if anyone wants any get down to seat & order now before they are no more

Well just got back from AMD essex today

Standard with Stage 2 mods it made

231bhp 223lb/ft! YAY!

Was a good day all in all, all of the AMD staff were very helpful and friendly faultless service, they found 3 faults before they started, great i thought :( all minor though first being the temp sensor which was replaced ages ago with the green one fault code remained, another fault was low maf reading and another battery voltage low, all nothing to worry about was told, all would map out.

This seemed strange to me because JKM said no faults on vagcom when they had it in a while ago and checked it! oh well

Got all the three problems fixed during the last run decided fit a new MAF sensor replaced old one was dirty, At one point it wouldn't get past 260bhp so eventually we realised it needed a new spring in the forge 007p changed the green spring in the 007p to a yellow one, and finally got some good runs in with better results

Finally my lcr 210 made 270bhp + 319lb/ft which was very good

Operator comments were very encouraging "this car is absolutely billistic on the road to drive"

He took it out for a drive round the block after the map saying its better on the road then the rollers, you will be impressed with it now :D

Took aload of photos and videos so will post them up soon :D

still not done the N249 Bypass, polished charge pipe or Badgers custom TIP

so im happy for now :D

Photos of the day rained all the way up for our 2hr trip

I understand the ecu adapts to changes as its driven so who knows if the power would increase over time? anyhoo mods done so far

Forge FMIC
Forge 007p yellow spring dump valve
Miltek Hiflow Sports Cat + Miltek Catback exhaust system
Forge TIP
Green Pannel Cotten Filter

just wondering if N249 Bypass, polished charge pipe or Badgers custom TIP and perhaps a bigger cone filter would make any difference along with the cold side relocation kit?

also i've got no cold air feed just standard airbox? worth looking into?

You wont get any gains from a polished charge pipe or the cold side relocation kit.

If you want to stick with the airbox then get a decent cold feed to it, Mine always made good power with my modded one.

270bhp + 319lb/ft are very good figures, you should get a bit more once it adapts

Get the cold air feed done ASAP, put a nice big 3" feed pipe up there, also if you want some more noise drill the bottom of te airbox,
This might help http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=198039&highlight=airbox+smoothing+guide

I'v just put a big Jetex cone on mine and the only difference in noise I'v noticed so far is a bit more DV noise.

Personally I'd leave the N249 alone, I see it as a safty net,
