That's cool then, I'm off Tuesday so will have a lay in till about 9 and crack on whilst parents and everyone are out. Gonna have to hunt down some of these bolts too by sounds of it, seem you mentioned it to kris, I'll let him find out first, then see what happens

Oh i know what you mean now i had no idea that was a spacer  well its all back together now and it didnt feel any different to drive so ill leave it as it is for now.

Fitting was ok putting it back together was a nightmare just trying to get the bumper back on was horrible, ive attacked mine with an angle grinder smoothed all the plastic down that needed removing.

I took loads more off my bumper than the pictures show in the guide, had it on and off about 5 times in all.

I hadn't removed the bracket that holds the old pipe in place, so it made fitting awkward, was alot easier without that in place. I guess the biggest pain in the ass is the bumper really.

I don't really know about the MAP sensor, but with the adapter in place, the sensor is not really in the airflow. Overall, no idea really, it's a very nice shiny pipe though :D

I don't have enough petrol to go test it this evening, and I still need to find the tool I lost so I'll see if it's any different tomorrow.

i still havent found the instructions on the website where are they?
i removed the bracket that holds the standard pipe in place and didnt refit it as theres no use for it without the standard pipe.
i also removed loads of plastic pretty much that whole side of extra plastic theres is no need for all of that plastic really lol.
also i think the sensor isnt supposed to be directly in the flow of air as im pretty sure it isnt when mounted to the standard pipe.

I can't remember to be honest, but if you had a larger sensor for the standard boss then it would definitely be in the airflow. I too removed alot of plastic, I guess around 75% of that bumper guide part.

Instructions are here... http://www.forgemotorsport.co.uk/me...port map sensor pipe fitting instructions.pdf

I didn't find them til I came to refit the bumper. The only bit I had trouble with was the MAP sensor really, but a couple of longer bolts did the trick. Did you have any issues?

You'd think they would have just made the map sensor mount thicker though rather than adding a spacer, I don't really get it!

Loving the car like, just can't wait until this pipe is on and it's mapped!

You'd be in a perfect position to comment on the effectiveness of the pipe with a standard map, you'll have to let us what difference it makes.

I think it's just a standard boss for any sensor, sent with an adapter, probably more costs effective. Only thing was the short bolts, and the O-ring on my sensor wouldn't squash up enough so I had to file it out a little.

Yeh I'll give my feedback, fancy tackling it tomorrow night but I gotta pack for the weekend and wash the car :(

Look at the thread about the pipe in forges section, I asked Kris about the map sensor

Is the spacer for you petrol guys and us diesel peeps don't need it?
Or the other way round maybe.
That's the only reasoning I can see for not making the adaptor a bit thicker

Spacer is for you diesel lads or so Kris at forge is saying. But as Al has said below, he had to use it. Hoping I won't have to tbh unless I find longer bolts anyway!

no only the bolts being to short to have the spacer fitted but without it the sensor wasnt sealed luckily longer bolts sorted that problem quite a straight forward fit really other then that.

I hope it will be, tipping it down tonight though and wouldn't have had enough time, looks like next Tuesday can try :)

It's built up a fair bit now, done tons of driving since it was fitted! Inside the tip is brown/black aswell now instead of bright silver haha suppose the lack of a cat is helping!

Had a good drive yesterday to centre parcs down the a66, was supposed to be in convoy with gf's parents and loads of family friends but couldn't resist a few cheeky blasts lol gf's mums friend said she wanted a go after I flew past lmao
