Nowhere near, i.e. Norway.
So one wouldn't call the glass chip a transponder (transmitter-responder)? I mean, the chip has to transmit something, so does the "other" part of the key.

In the pic above, the immobiliser chip is in the same part as the blade, not the left part. So he can sell the part with the buttons, left part.

Ah right so the only thing in the left bit/remote bit is the battery then? The immobiliser chip and transponder in the key blade bit? Im confoozed lol

I've a part of a key, like the right part in that pic, the part with the key blade in. I got it just because of the immobiliser chip, I needed a new one. The battery is in the part with buttons.

If there's something else in the blade part, besides the glass thingy (immobiliser chip), I would like someone to explain.

The only things I've worried my self with in this flip key process of mine, is getting a blank blade (easy), getting it cut (easy), getting a glass thingy (easy), match it to the car (easy), getting hold of the correct part with buttons on (hard), getting that to work with the remote lock/unlock (hard).

part that holds the key blade also has the tranponder/chip in it and nothing else.

this part can be clipped onto either a 2 or 3 button remote (not sure if it will clip onto an audi one though)

Ok, then we're two people calling it tranponder/chip and both of us say it's all that's in that part of the key. Good.

Not the 2 button Audi key I tried it on.

I would also like to quote myself.
