how does that work just unlocks the boot and no other doors? i might be intrested if this is the case.. lol

I'll try again in the morning. I tried it when the drivers door was already unlocked and quickly pressed the boot unlock but it didn't seem to work.
Does it need holding down for a second or 2 ?
Well i got my VW 2 Button flip key (HL0 1J0 959 753 N) last week & got it cut at the weekend 
However, i've tried using the instructions that came with it, and the instructions in the Seat Manual, it will not synch with the car![[:@]](/forums/styles/seatcupra/oldforumsmileys/furious.gif "Furious [:@]")
Here are the instructions i've tried:
* Insert key in ignition and turn on and leave in ignition
* Mechanically locl the vehicle using the drivers door using a second key
*Using the remote control press the unlock button once, and the horn will sound once (i got to this point, horn did not sound)
* Wait 6 seconds and press the ulock button nce t activate the coding procedure. The remote control will now be programmed.
*Remove key from ignition and check for operation
Or:
*Insert the key into the driver door lock, turn and hold to left position, windows will come down, turn and hold to right position, windows went up
Or Seat Manual:
* Both vehicle keys, the key with the radio transmitter (A) amd the conventional key (B) - i don't have B hence why i bought a second remote key.
* The synchronisation process must be completed within 30 seconds
* Use key (B) to switch ignition on and key (A) to program
* Make sure that the vehicle is open before you proceed to the programmming
* Place key (B) in the ignition and switch on
* Use key (A) to lock the drivers door
* Now unlock and lock manually the drivers door with key (A) while pressing the open button
* Take key (B) out of the ignition
PLEASE HELP AS NONE OF THE ABOVE HAS WORKED, WHEN MY NEW KEY, WITH NEW TRANSPONDER IS IN IGNTION WHILST DOING ANY OF THE ABOVE, THE KEY LIGHT ON THE DASH COMES UP AND FLASHES.

what are you trying to do?
the remote part or the immobilizer?
the remote part is as above and the immob is done with vagcom and your SKC or by a dealer/ auto lock smith

Put your original key in the ignition and turn it on.
With your new flip keep lock the car and remove key from the lock.
Press the unlock once, horn beeps, count to 6 and press unlock once more.
Remove original key from ignition: Job done!

ah and a "n" suffix key....
only 1 person to get that key working and that was on a 99-01 toledo
imo you got the wrong key

The transponder is fitted into the right part of the key and the "chip" is fitted into the left part of the key, so, I think so yes...
