thank you :)

will log it tonight! too busy last nite!

im going to try alexs from tts map sensor so i can elimiante that.

and maybe see if i can borrow their display garrett gt actuator :)

apart from these things is there anything else it could be?

if this dont solve it do you think you could solve it if i came to you bill? hourly rate and all?

mork ive not ignored it just been trying to work out what else may have been different! so far ive yet to find anything!

yea its standard map sensor and spoke to jbs and they said its been mapped to run standard one!

any way of testing the actuator if its boost creeping?

thanks for the help guys, im sure your fed up of helping me now...its all much appreicated tho :):) ;);)

Actuator is'nt boost creep...
physical size of apature is boost creep and or insufficient opening of wastegate puk (which *could* be actuator)

Pressurise the actuator and see when it opens, psi wise and how far it opens.
I use a hand pump to test this, and vacuum. (mityvac)

I can certainly look at it with the benefit of knowing what I am doing yes - at the hourly rate vs Free advise on here, which is limited sight unseen.

i got it with a yellow spring so 10-15psi iirc

of course i came with an actuator! how do you think ive been driving it? lol

had a play with actuator last nite.
disconnected it from thewastegate arm and there was an almighty bang as the actuator returned to its rest position. i then lined up the actuator arm with the wastgate arm (wastegate closed) and the centres of the hole and pin on wastegate arm were about 6-7mm apart.

which, if im correct, means the arm has to move 6-7mm before the wastegate starts opening and its possibly not opening enough!? (which i think is what you were saying bill)

so i adjusted the arm and after 1 1/2 turns the turm buckle thing fell off as it was the end of the adjustment on the arm!

what i think is the actuator arm/actuator is the wrong one for my turbo!?!?!?

from what ive found on the net, there should be a tiny amout of tension on the wastegate from the actuator? so there is 1-2mm distance when disconneted. is that correct?

could this be the problem? i think its certainly a good start.

also would my map need adjusting?

thanks

if its 6-7mm away thats 6-7mm of preload.. seems a bit high to me.
mines a couple of mm.

I only gauge spring rates on actual pressure it takes to start to push the rod.. the psi's on forges actuator springs are not accurate, just guide figures. you can see what the actual pressure is effectively set to tho with N75 disconnected as this is your actual boost pressure.

seeing what total movement the applied pressure to the actuator gives will give you a clue as to whether the 6-7mm of pre-load has robbed it of opening ability.

changed the actuator tonight! its fits better as there is about 10 threads holding it on now!

i took it for a spin and it was the same...30ish psi loud bangs etc, so i headed home!

then i thught i would try loading it up in 4th...so i did and it sat at 12psi!
then i tryed it in 2nd and 12psi again!
now all i get is 12psi!?!?

im guessing that the n75 wires may have become diconnected/broken as they have been extended before! i think this because at 1st it overboostd now it wont go over 12psi need to check it but too late now...im tired!

ive yet to log 118 as a mate has ran off with vagcom!

does this ring any bells for anyone? i wouldnt mind trying another n75 again and a map sensor!?

other than that....:(

mork, you replyed to my question before i even asked it! i was going to say is there any way of veiwing injectors!! will that tell me if injectors are doing what they should?

what block please?

because ive had 2 of us in the car (alex and i) its been easier to view AFR. we have found it far too lean on high RPM! just got to find out why now!

ive changed the pump! cant say what it is as it just what jbs supplyed...looked same as standard tho!?

caney...if you dont do it yourself you dont learn....as you well know!!
