I know right looks very weird once its done, and weird when it rains too... Do you go the the bristol cribbs causeway meets anytimes? I think they are every quarter aren't they? last time I went it was raining so not many turned up but there were still 3 cupra's and an R there.

Air con recharge, EGR turned down, faulty door wiring sorted. Next is to fit new, smaller 16" wheels that are 4kg lighter per corner than the original 17s.

When you say you sorted your door wiring, what was wrong and how did you fix it please?

Fitted a new 6 disc changer and added 2 resistors to the car for the fans. Just need to tap the wiring into the loom tomorrow.

Cleaned it with water, then with some special car wash n wax stuff, then again with some showroom shine wax...god dam it's hard to get black clean!

Edit: OOOOH I also arranged a courier to pick up my new wheels from Ireland!!!

From my RR:

Gave the car a once over with the snow foam, then washed and waxed it

Then went to halfords to get some rainX but the turtle wax stuff was £2 cheaper so I got that instead

And a quick vid of the magic working

Then I went to try out my car ramps and find out what is making the knocking noise but no luck

No chance without taking the bumper off

Replaced the sidelight bulbs,
Removed, resealed and refitted all door cards,
Removed EGR valve, cleaned everything, blanked it off and refitted,
Fitted new Aux drive belt
Ordered new tie rods, tie rod ends, plates and mats for her..

Was this because of them coming on intermittently instead of running steady? Do you have a guide to what you did by any chance as I'm having this problem.

Dozer, get some ramp extenders so you can get your car on those ramps. I can get my cupra r on mine no issues.

I don't have a guide to what I did but it's fairly straight forward and I could write one at some point.
My fans wouldn't run at all on slow speed so I fitted the resistors and now they function fine on both speeds. Cost me around £25 all in for parts but you will also need a few basic tools for the job.

To get mine on ramps i got 2 blocks of wood 2-3" thick,drive on to them that should give u enough clearance
