I spent most of Saturday getting my car looked at, road tested and logged etc
The outcome is:-
There was all these random fault codes coming up, some that just didnt make sense because of what had been tested! The Engine Management Light hasnt come on since Donny South but its still running
We decided to check everything else too
The throttlebody was cleaned up as was dirty, all hoses checked, Dump Valve Serviced, a new vacuum hose to the Dump Valve replaced, another MAF changed as a test but didnt need it as mine is new, air filter checked and CAT checked and LOADS of other bits
All these were fine!
The logs were done and the airflow was 129g/s (requesting 130g/s) which is fine, the timing is all fine, there was no misfiring and all seemed to be running 100% perfect, from that side
We then put a two month old ECU on it and it felt back SO much better although still seemed to pull back about 5500RPM although none of the fault codes came up at all
As soon as my ECU was put back in the main fault code that has been there all along came straight back, so even if that was the only one that came up it kind of tells me something really, you know?
I think knowing that now and knowing all the other faults that were coming up, it has to be my ECU! I mean one of the faults was the car misfiring on the first, third and fourth cylinders but when logged it wasnt misfiring!
I now need to find an ECU ASAP! I have one thats a possible at the moment but its always good to get some options to back myself up
Ryan - I have called and called that ECU Doctor number and they never answer the phone so i have left about three voicemails, they called me back after two voicemails and left me a voicemail apologising and saying we keep missing each other and then gave me a mobile number to call but when i called they didnt answer so i left another voicemail and they called back but i couldnt talk so when i called back they didnt answer the landline and the mobile number wouldnt work
