So just to confirm, do i use one or the other?

Silicon to be applied where the old foam seal use to be or just replace the old foam seal with silicon?

Cheers

That is the same question, just worded differently.

Some get away with adding sealant to the panel join, without removing it at all.

You need to remove all the old stuff before applying anything new.

Just called Seat Parts in swindon and the girl on the end of the phone did not know what the seal cord was and said that the part numbers i have are not seat part numbers :wtf:

Why are Seat Swindon so painful

Try SEAT in Chippenham they've been good to me so far, only 15 mins down the motorway.

Used the VW Garage in Swindon, Gave them the same part code and they ordered it with no problems

Did the passenger side doors yesterday, on taking the rear door plastic trim section off a whole load of water gushed out! Soooo glad to have sorted this out, last winter was a nightmare with misted up windows, frozen condensation on the *inside" etc etc.
