Is the vcds hex-usb can working properly on MY16 & 17 Leons?

I read on the Gendan rosstech sites that due to change to the MQB platform some components dont work properly, just want to know which if any are not accesible.

I think It's more to do with the fact that support will be stopping for the old hex can and the new one getting more support and updates!

Random auto light activation

The car is also comparing the 'front' light to the 'back' light so that's why it happens.

Usually the front and rear light sensors that are located in the rear view mirror are for the dimmer rear mirror. If the rear sensor sees more light than the front then the mirror is dimmed. The auto lights and wipers work from the rain/light sensor in the windscreen in front of the mirror not the 2 sensors in the mirror itself.

I thought maybe this is some sort of random coding that put the lights on a certain time?

Right had a look today, I think you might be on the wrong line.
I'm using VCDS 17.1.3, I had to scroll down just before the halfway point in the '09 Cent Elect, UDS Adaptations' to a line,-
IDE08542-ENG116665-Access control 2-Funk Spiegelanklappung Modus
You may not have the IDE number at the start of the line if you are using earlier VCDS.
I found the line by looking at the descriptions rather than a search.
Beware there may be other lines with very similar wording!

Just a quick update - After all the issues I've been facing with this, I got hold of another VCDS cable and now everything is fine

On vcds 17 it's all in English for the adaptations do I just take the literal interpretation?

Trying to do the one press mirror fold but there is no access control 2 to choose from in central convenience only production access control which doesn't give any sub menus.

Any ideas?

i got one off ebay it works on my parents VW Tiguan 2012
but on my leon 2016 1.6tdi im getting errors like this....

Has your car had the 'VW emissions' modification?

I think you are looking at the wrong controller, have a look at my previous posts, numbers 622, 626 and 633.

Using search for "Access" only "Production Access - Global" comes up and nothing for "Spiegelanklappung" :confused which is whats really strange as id expect something to come up for that.

Will try and give it a good dig later as it can only be a scan error as there are options for the mirror in general.

I take it back im such a dumbass forgot to put in the security code before doing adaptation, now it magically appears!

Have you restarted the start/stop or ignition after doing it.

Mine only worked after i left it a couple minutes then pressed start.

It doesn't read unless the lights are on the dash from that point i have tried removing the key but not tried doing it with start/stop turned off i will try this and get back to you

Any more thoughts if that doesn't work ?

Is this something that all codeing need doing the adaptions before hand ?

Can not seem to get any other to work and can not sus out what adaption wants turning on if thats the case
Am totaly new to this

Omg its never ending
Vcds tells me there an update for the program so i do it like anyone would but not it can not find interface
Found driver and usb libary but no interface is that the car it can not find ?
