Locking unlocking chirp activation on 2014 Leon SE Tech pack possible?

Hi guys,

I know there's a post (https://www.seatcupra.net/forums/resources/vcds-how-to-guides-mk3-leon-5f.5/) regarding locking/unlocking chirp activation through adaptation in 09 central electric module but it didn't work for me on my 2014 Leon SE Tech Pack. I've tried it but whatever I've selected from drop down menu I got error message channel not available ..so I went to coding and then long coding helper and but could not see anything in options up to bit 17 what could activate the chirp sound. Then from bit 18 to bit 29 there is nothing to choose- no options, just an empty bits. Anyone have any ideas please. Car has factory alarm installed. I had this chirp previously activated in my Passat and it was really handy and would love to get it working on my Leon. Thanks for any advice.

Hey guys,
I managed to activate it finally..I did everything exactly as in this video

After you do all the steps in video, it will not work because there's one more step you have to do which was not mentioned in the video and it is that you have to go to car settings ( on the display in centre dash) and there you'll find "acoustic feedback" which you have to "tick" and that's it ..good luck guys

Yes, that was the very first thing I did

Completely pointless mod but it does make me smile whenever I turn the car on. The chirp on the other hand, I've found very useful in crowded, unfamiliar car parks.

I did activate it in every concern car I've owned as it doesn't costs me a single penny so why not. It is the cheapest and quickest mod as it takes just a couple of seconds to activate it. The chirp is very useful. It's a pity that not every make has/support it.. otherwise I would have it on every car I own

Did you do the needle sweep too?

Yes.

• Needle sweep
• N/S mirror dip on reverse
• Always on rear DLR's
• Alarm chirp

If your car doesn't have an alarm I don't think you can actually activate the feature, that's how it was on my A3 8V anyway

How does that work with no alarm fitted? Via the car horn? I thought the chirp was made by the alarm horn?

Sorry - I've been away so not able to reply.

I'll have to see how I did it. Sometimes you use the app to enable the feature directly, or use the app to unlock the feature in the infotainment system and then activate it.

I'll have a look when I next have time.

As well as activating the chirp for lock and unlock, there is another option to select which adds the menu entry on the infotainment. It will show under car settings/opening and closing/central locking/audible confirmation - this option needs to be ticked. Also, the infotainment unit needs a reboot after coding changes by pressing and holding the on/off button until the screen restarts - until you do this the menu may not show up on screen

From my experience, I have never had to restart the MIB for this coding to get the menu entry.
