Hello Guys,

I was a member years ago when i owned a mk1 Leon. I am now picking up a MK3 Fr 184 next week.

I am interested in playing VCDS. Could someone link me a cable that works OK. Im not interested in a genuine Rosstech, with the leveling of tinkering im going to do. I also do not own an andriod device to use the app.

Has been updated ages ago and fixed all my MY16 issues. I will admit that I have not tried the recent updates to 16.8.3 or .4.

Hi Walone, I have just installed VCDS Mobile on my android tablet. I am uncertain what to do next. Do I plug my Ross-Tec lead from my Leon to my tablet as I would with my laptop? Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think VCDS Mobile works with the HEX-CAN interface, I think you have to use a HEX-NET one via Wi-Fi or cable connection.

For anyone wanting a decent 'clone' I can recommend the ones sold by the guy below...

I have some for sale on eBay at the moment, my eBay username is "dacoo-x360x".
The adapters work even work with the latest 2016 models, and it ships with a full copy of VCDS 15.7.1.

I'm an electronics engineer by trade, so unlike other merchants I dismantle, visually inspect, re-assemble and electrically test each item on my Seat Leon 5F 1.6TDI 2013 for full functionality, being able to guarantee it won't harm your vehicle.
Other seller may be slightly cheaper, but none can offer the quality guarantee I do.

Others might test them on their cars proir to shipping, but that doesn't mean it will last. Biggest issue I've seen with the Chinese VAG COMs are excess "solder splash" and "solder balls" on the boards inside. I ensure non of mine have these or go out the door if they do. Yes they might work for a bit, but if one of them dislodges and shorts your car out, its not good.

I have an electronics workshop and have ensured soldering and components are up to scratch and are of sufficant quality, otherwise they are sent back to China.

Only reason I started selling them is due to buying one to mod my Leon. With over 15 mods currently implemented, I wouldn't be without mine, and the genuine ones are welllllll overpriced...

Hi Guys, does anyone know if it's possible to put your door lights to red and make them stay on all the time even when the cars locked? As iv recently brought a Leon fr that does this and I would like to stop this from happening as god knows what it's doing to my battery!

eBay versions are notorious for being flakey as they are copied/hacked. The error could be because your eBay version isn't suitable for the MQB platform cars. V12.12 or higher will be required probably higher as your is a 2016 car with MIB2, looks like will be minimum 15.7.3.

Auto folding mirror coding option?

Hi. This is a great listing I'm going to have a play the weekend and see if some of these work on my 13 Leon ST FR.

Is there any coding option to make the mirrors fold automatically rather than having to keep the lock button pressed for a few seconds? If there it that's would be amazing as it annoys the hell out of me!

Have problem with rear window defroster, it is original put to shut off after 600sec, but it does not. I put it in vcds at 200sec, but it is still on, and led is on on the button, when i press it after 10min i heard that reley is off. Car is seat leon my16, 1.6 tdi style comfort
