Designed by Seat but branded as a Cupra 😉. Sub brand of VAG.... shhh.

Obviously a FedEx Custom Critical 😉.

Walter brought the Alfa lines to Seat so you could say Cupra is challenging Alfa but retired after becoming the VAG chief designer:

Leon3s looked Teutonic neoclassical... pass on the current design leanings on Seat / Cupra.

yes i know what you mean its a bit like toyota and lexus or nissan and infinity ,there are a few around .but its still not a seat officially its cupras first car well thats what i tell everybody.. :p
Know what you mean but I find it a bit more cynical with Cupra - at least with Lexus etc you're getting a different car, even if the underpinnings are Toyota, it is unique in looks, far more luxurious etc. whereas everything on the Formentor is just SEAT - interior is identical to Leon etc. 😁

I just call it a SEAT Cupra...

I had Audis for 20 years before the Cupra, so an awful lot of the enquiries I get (once we get past "what is it?") are about why I moved away from Audi. So I've got into the habit of short-cutting the second question by answering the first with "It's an Audi in disguise".

Am I going mad?
Is the right hand side of the steering wheel closer than the left?
Ie. It’s set at a slightly interned angle?

Recently discovered the odd rattle coming from what I think is the steering column or the centre console, anyone else experienced this?

You can set the the temperature in the car using the voice command button on the steering wheel "set the temperature to 22 degrees". If you leave off the "degrees" the system gets confused. This only changes the temperature on the driver side. I will experiment with the passenger side/ both later today. You can also change the radio station using the voice command button. "Play BBC Radio 2/4/6/Talksport/Jazz FM" all work well. Again, if you say "Play Radio 2" it gets confused. Getting there slowly...

I drove my car 270 miles to Cornwall and it was fine until it was parked in a bay outside the walled garden of the cottage where we were staying. It had raised cobble stone on each side of the bay defining the parking space. It set off an alarm and the system had a fit! It has since disabled the side sensors, which means that the park assist and the like do not work and I get an annoying chime and alarm every time the car starts up (six weeks now). This is in addition to the alarm and warning lights regarding the brake fluid (broken sensor that is on order). I'm still enjoying the car despite this annoying issues.
