Not sure if others have noticed but if you roll backwards in the car (reverse gear NOT engaged) the rear camera activates. Dropped my daughter off and rolled back from a car parked in front and discovered this.

Sounds quirky, I always use auto-hold so never roll back tbh.

I used full beam for the first time and confirmed that it's auto on/off. And good thing, you can switch it off when full beam is temporary off. I couldn't do this in Audi. When it dipped, there was no way to switch it off.

I think, it was my second time driving at night, since all my trips were during the day so far. I miss those early morning airport runs.

I’ve yet to drive mine in darkness. A couple of times, the dipped lights have come on in late afternoon/early evening but still daylight, so no way to judge how the lights perform. I only knew they were on because the interior light bar came on.

Your in for a treat, lights up like a Christmas tree in the dark especially if you set the brightness all the way up for your interior lighting. Makes you feel like your in the cockpit of a jet over the sea

Also noticed last night that my ambient light strip and door cards are set dim but whatever door is opened that door ambient light goes to maximum, then back to dim when closed.

Oh by the way chaps, went to center parcs the other week ( for a week) and I was amazed how much we could actually get in the boot. We did have to put the 9 year old in granddad's car and put 2 of the rear seats down to accommodate a big family suitcase. But for a family of 4 we got everything in ( suitcase, food, drink, pram toys etc). When you take the parcel shelf out it makes more of a difference than you would think. Because of the coupe roof line you think it would eat into the boot space significantly but I was pleasantly surprised. On about 3 occasions I shut the boot thinking ' surely it can't take any more but there was still room around the rear windscreen.

Have you configured the brightness from the main screen on ambient lighting? Anyone deliberately tried opening their door with traffic coming? You get audible beeps and the light strip for that door flashes as part of the blind spot safety. I'm yet to experience the central light bar flashing if you are approaching an obstacle too fast but I guess that's a good thing ha

Yeah if you have the safety XL the blind spot etc does flash orange. It did with my VZ but can’t recall the central light bar do it, would only get the symbol that comes up on the dash.

Not sure if the central light bar only lights up when it senses a potential crash only when headlights are on.

Good to know but I'm more interested in finding out how good the external lighting is.

I discovered new functionality of Cupra Connect app or rather logging into the car. Got email today that alarm in my car went off. I didn't hear it, but since it was in the garage, I thought some insect left in the car might have set it off. Later I discovered it was dash came that fell off the windscreen.

Discovered my car “learns” the heating for the seats. I’m assuming when it’s completed learning it will keep my but toasties without touching controls :cheeky:
