It's dyno so who cares, I bet it feels nuts on the road! Which DP do you have? With my 3" setup I felt a huge difference when fitted. Thats one smooth graph dude, pleasure to put your foot down I reckon. Defo come down on Sat if you can and we'll all have a chat :).

Nice figures you got there mate :D
What map did you have in the end ?

The next RR day will October 23rd

Cheers Darren. After several hundred questions thrown at Ben I decided to go with their stage 2 map. Hats off to them they kept at it to get a real smooth power delivery so really happy.

Yeah I saw that mate, Nice one for sorting another RR day, should be interesting

It does feel nice I must admit but to be honest iv not bad a chance to really open it up so hopefully over the weekend. Yeah 3" downpipe is what I purchased but as you may have read before it never fitted properly so sending it back. Issue was that I was in Birmingham and needed to come back so the guys quickly built me a downpipe which I believe is a combination of 2.75-2.5inch which I know is not ideal. Will sure try to come on the weekend, be good to catch up and also see your beast in action

Cheers buddy, feels great but then anything would as the cars been running OEM map until now lol
WOW That looks really smooth, cant beat a custom map. ;)

Cheers mate. Yeah the guys did really well, very much impressed :)

Been doing some further reading on the MBC and I think there is a lot of tweaking I need to do. Shame I didn't read up on it more before installing and getting the car mapped but now is a good time to do it I guess.

Firstly it is recommended to install the strongest spring as it comes with the weakest as standard (something had already done) & then compress the spring several times with some plires before installing so it beds in (something I didn't do).

Next up is pretty much trial and error by starting with the lowest setting and turning it up until happy with the way the boost holds.

Reading on Harty's when he had his set up on his LCR which was set on 9 clicks and peaked at 1.54 bar. 10 clicks peaked at 1.6 bar, 8 clicks peaked at 1.5 bar. This was on a well tuned Stage 1 so I am guessing this will be slightly different on mine but a good bit of information to use as a guideline for now.

Recommended by Badger5 Bill to use the stiffer spring as mentioned earlier and it seems the spring gets softer if not compressed before use so need to see how mine is doing over the weekend

I guess you can connect a pump with a gauge to the mbc inlet. Adjust the mbc to your prefered pressure. As i said befor mine is set to 1.4 bar. By the sounds of it yours is set to its optimum by amd if is set at 1.5.

Looked all over to find this colour but there was no good condition ones about with right mileage/spec. Very nice mate!

Yeah going to see if I can make any more improvements. I haven't spoken to AMD about the setting up of the MBC (totally forgot as I was so eager to get the car back!!) The guys there don't really like the idea of these controllers, but I personally do so want to check over what they did with it.

I'm sure it is at its best setting but good to check me thinks :)

Cheers mate. Took me a while to find mine, very picky person I am. I see you have a red LCR, very nice. Get some pics up when you are able so we can all have a look ;)

Exhaust Development at Midlands Exhausts

Finally managed to get the pics off my mates camera for when we headed up to Midlands Exhausts.

Car up on the ramp ready to be worked on:

Some phat ass chrome spinners sitting in the workshop. Would hate to get my fingers stuck between those:

Small selection of the tail pipes they have on offer - nightmare to choose one:

Taking down the old rusted system:

Random shot of the guys welding away:

Final few adjustments on the tail pipe so it sits perfectly in place:

My fav shot of the bunch:

As you all know the plan was to fit the Milltek downpipe to the car however had issues with fitment so we had to make something else out of pretty much nothing. I am debating on getting a proper 3" downpipe made for the car as the current is a combination of 2.75-2.5 which will be affecting the performance slightly. At the moment I aint too bothered as I love the way the car drives and thanks to the map and MBC working together I am able to hold boost very well.

The exhaust sounds spot on for me. Nice deep burble low down and a proper loud rasp when being belted. On the motorway it is very quiet, which is ideal for long journeys. Need to get a sound clip up but too busy enjoying myself at the moment :p

Today I decided it's time to start sorting out the little niggles here and there, mainly sorting the oil catch can system I installed a while back as I still wasn't happy with it. All done now and much better/neater. Next I'm going to tackle another annoying bit on the car. There is a loud squeal noise which I am guessing is the brakes touching the heat shield. Another bit I need to sort is the creak I have on the right front, not sure what this is so need to get under the car and have a good poke around.

Oh and the car has decided to send itself in and out of limp mode today whilst cruising on the motorway. Think it's a electrical fault somewhere, most likely the wires to the n75 valve but il have to investigate in the morning. People didn't know what was happening, one minute they hear a mad roar fly by them and then they see it struggling to pick up speed lol

That issue with limp sounds like N75 bud.

Yeah I had it before mate. Drove me nuts as I was knew to the LCR so didnt have a clue what it could be. Spent days boost testing and all sorts and in the end took it to AMD who told me it was the wires to the N75. Going to fiddle about with it later and scan it with VAGCOM

I reckon N75's don't like warmer temps, just look at the issues JamJay had before he got his new one on. And now look at his car! Lol.

There was an S3 at AmD yesterday which had a dodgey N75 aswell as a MAF causing air readings to go down rather than up or something??

That's interesting, think il run some logs then to see requested Vs actual boost to see what boost the car is requesting. Thanks for sharing mate, initially I just thought it would be loose connections but worth a further check to see if the valve is all in check
